I know the bible says we shouldn't worry, i know i should trust God, But today am so worried about the future. I am trying to do the things right and make the right decisions but its soooo hard.

Why cant the right way always be the easy way:(.

Whose been here before? I need help!

Ummm, I am in your position. There is a verse I believe in the book of Matthew where Jesus tells a parable. Something to the effect of "If God provides food for the sparrow every day, how much more to you who are much more important". Again, that's not it exactly but it's something to that effect. This is what gets me through the day every single day I wake up and look at where I am.

Look at your life and what you have. Count your blessings, and go as small as you have to if you can't think of anything. Is there a roof over your head? Are you being fed every day? Do you have friends?

Start simple and as you count these things daily and remind yourself of them daily, and remind yourself that you are not forgotten, and God has a plan for you, eventually you will experience peace. It's kind of like the proverbial "desert place" of the Israelite's just waiting to go into the promised land. You're waiting for your personal promised land God has for you, in the mean time, how are you spending the wait? Are you using this time to draw closer to God and build your relationship with Him as you wait? The closer you come to God, the more peace you feel. When you draw towards God, He gives you peace.

Exactly. It's easier to trust God when you know his promises. Know in the depths of your heart that God has got it covered and that whatever happens, it's cos God is working it out for the GREATER good. Not for good. Not for great good. It's for the greatER good.

If it makes you feel any less bad worrying, remember that even Jesus worries. He doubted God whilst in the garden of Gethsemane. He worried to the point of sweating blood...are you at that stage yet? haha.
Regardless of where things go and which turns your life takes, praise and thank God all along the way. Ask for his peace too.

Kessy,
I think it's safe to say we've all been there. Imagine what you would be like if everything just showed up, if there were no struggle, if we never had to fight for God's best. We would never be changed. God uses everything to shape us and draw us nearer to Him. If we were always given what we wanted, we would never change a what a tragedy that would be. Often times the trials we face, the days we are forced to patiently ensure before we receive our promise are just what God uses to prepare us for those promises. Without them we would never be able to keep hold of what God has for us. We would not be equipped to hold onto it.

Well I've been unemployed going on 2 years now. I've had job 2 interviews in that time despite hundreds of job applications. I've had to move back into my mothers home and she is now facing the possibility of having to find somewhere else to live. This would leave me up a creek without the canoe never mind the paddle. I'm running out of money, and the way things seem now I have no future unless I go on welfare which as a Christian is not a good idea. Unequal yoke and all that. So, yeah I am right where you are. welcome to the club. :D

These have always been helpful to me. Keep them where you can see them. Read them out loud. The Word is powerful. God bless you. :)
- "The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way" - Psalm 37:23

- MY PERSONAL FAVORITE:
Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27
- This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
- He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Psalm 91:4-8

Thanks dear friends...you all have been helpful. Right now am counting my blessings starting with being thankful for Christian Chat and the the opportunity to meet you all, though far away but yet close.

And Jullianna, God bless you for sharing those scriptures. All familiar verses but i love the version you quoted. I caught a revelation! Joshua 1:9. 1 feel like dancing already!:D

The Lord would show up strong on your behalf this week in Jesus name. You would testify!
