Guys, why do you guys want your girlfriend to be jealous of other girls whom you talk to or any friend? What kind of character you want in girls ?

Why do you label this as a 'guy' thing and why do you assume its true of all guys? Women do the same thing.
I'm not like that, and i've not known a guy who is like that.
Kind of character i want in a girl is one who won't make unfounded generalizations about entire groups of people.

I'm not sure that I understand the question. Is this something you were told by a guy? by other girls?

Is happens with both girls and guys. I think jealousy to certain extent is okay (I think I am gonna get some disagreements with this statement). The way I see it, it shows (not in the most healthiest way) the person that they care. Imagine being with someone who didn't care who you went out with, what guys/girls you are with, was so unaffected by what you do. That being said, if a gf/bf was manipulating and purposely trying to get you jealous then theres is something wrong there. If thats the case, he/she is probably trying to get an ego boost, and compensate for the lack of love they feel towards themselves.

You can where a person goes and who with without having to be jealous. Jealousy isn't about showing that you care, jealousy is about insecurity. You're insecure and afraid that whoever, or where ever that person goes, it will be more interesting than you and will take that person away from you, or detract from your relationship. That's not caring, its actually a form of self centeredness.
For example, jealousy is more commonly, and strongly, seen in abusive people. Abusers get jealous if their mate spends time away from them, or with other people, even family members. They will often do whatever they can to isolate their mate from anything and anyone else because of this jealousy. In extreme cases a mate will be held prisoner, often in a far away, isolated location with no phone, no car, no money. So, it can't 'start' as a caring gesture and morph into an unhealthy one, its an unhealthy reaction from the start. You wouldn't say 'well, a little greed is good', or 'smacking my wife around, just a little, shows i care', so neither should jealousy be seen as ok, even in small amounts.

Yeah, I figured people will disagree with me.

Like you said its pretty extreme, and not what I was referring to, I was not condoning abusive jealousy. But I don't want this to become an argument. It appears that what I meant is not coming across.

I think I know what you mean. To be jealous is to desire someone's loyalty or attention. God is a jealous God, and He's perfect. ;) But obsession, unfounded suspicions, and manipulation are all... very different.

Yes, thank you :)

I've don't know of any guys that purposely talk to other women to make their g/f or spouse jealous. If they do that is manipulative and wrong, as was previously mentioned.

There's really two types of jealousy to experience in a relationship, the most commonly known and thought of one has less to do with jealousy and more to do with insecurity and manipulation. The second, and more genuine jealousy, can't really be felt or experienced unless your other half is cheating on you and somebody else is getting what should be shared with you. i.e., when God calls himself a jealous God. He created our worship for Him and Him alone, not the things of this world which we so often worship.

I know what you meant, but you can't say 'a little bit of a sin is good because it shows you care'. The very roots of jealousy have nothing to do with caring for another person.
