quietness at your place makes you depressed.

a couple on the street holding hands and laughing brings a tear to your eye, happy for them but lonely for you
 
... when you feel happy but little bit sad as well seeing your brother, sister, cousin, friend etc. loads ton of pictures to facebook about his/her child
 
When you have to paint your house, stand on the roof, clean windows, hang doors, decorate, build kitchen units, buy a drill rather then get your nails done
 
... you're going home to no one and has no friend is available to accompany you, and ended up checking on Facebook and seeing friends being happily married with kids.
 
... when you have to hide couples photos from your Facebook news feed.

That's why they call me, Zao and Nuke "The Band of Back-Peddling Brothers" - if it wasn't for women back-peddling on their high standards, we would be very lonely guys!!!

Honestly good posts.

Yeah, true, Hearose, my life , I think, smells diferent single, but I've been single all my life and, though, at times, lonely when seeing others my age with kids, I know the one thing I only need to know and acknowledge and undestand is His hand on my life, and, I am content thn I see Him all around me, not to menton, He lives within my heart. The Lord leads. :)

I have had some really sobering thoughts lately about my loneliness and longing for "someone to hold". Most of these thoughts come in the form of questions, such as: Why do you want a girlfriend/wife? Is it to fill a want of the flesh? Is it because you think having a wife will make you happier? Are you trying to fill a void that Jesus wants to fill? Do you want a wife so that the two of you may become one flesh and glorify God?

Quite honestly, I rarely like the answers I have for myself because I find that my motives are not pure a majority of the time. I have found that questioning my motives (and being truthful with myself) for the want of somebody to hold (because I know that it isn't a need) also helps to fend off the feeling of loneliness.

I am not saying that this will work for everybody because I am certain that there are people who do have nothing but pure motives for finding "the one". Also, like you always say Green, "The Lord leads" and that is a very comforting thought to know that God is in control and He always knows what is best for us.

And think when 'Lord ansvers that "I think you need friend before you have girlfriend or wife."
