How do i know if he likes me?

I have to admit that i have a chrush on someone i met for the first time a year ago or so. Last time I saw him, was two moths ago. We were on sort of a camp where there were many other people, both men and women. We were separeted into different groups, but we were not on the same group. Instead of being with his group-mates, he was together with me. I think he flirted with me, but I'm not sure if it was real flirting, or if he was just being funny. He lives far away from me, so I only speak with him over the web. He always reply at my messages. But how can I know if he likes me? And how can I hint that i like him?
I'll be very happy if I get a response from you guys on CC :)
 
The only way to really know for sure is if he tells you straight up that he likes you. Some guys are more obvious than others...you kind of have to gauge it by your interactions with him, but since he lives far away that's kind of hard. If he does like you, it's likely that he isn't going to express it because of the distance thing. He wouldn't want to make himself vulnerable when it would be so difficult to be together anyway.

Since he does live so far away, you might want to consider just asking him. Normally it's really awkward when a girl asks a guy if he's into her because if he doesn't, it's hard to move on from there. But since you don't have to see him every day, it's not too big of a deal.
 
If a guy is willing to devote any extended amount of time just hanging out with woman, then there is a good chance he likes her.

I am not sure that you can hint that you like him because some guys don't know how to take a hint. I would say that smiling at him and laughing at his jokes are a good start though.

When I was younger I would do exactly what he did when i liked a girl because I was very shy. I'd be willing to bet he likes you a lot.
 
If we hold on a conversation on facebook for an hour, is there a bigger chanse he likes me?
 
With the distance thing it is a hard thing to gauge. And I'm probably not the person you want to ask...

If he's talking to you for that long and always replies to your messages, it sounds like there's a good chance he likes ya. There are always little signs that can help you figure it out too. :p

Johanne, I'd suggest you just enjoy his friendship and if he get serious about you and wants more than friendship he'll work up the nerve and go there. Nothing wrong with flirting now and then even with a friend:).
 
I agree with the suggestion made by surprisingrose. It's what I would do, at least. In fact it's what I DID do with a guy I had a crush on and now he's my boyfriend. ;) this is just my personal opinion but I think it's a bit more fun to let him take the lead when it comes to confessing feelings. Whatever you do, just be careful and considerate of both your and his feelings. :)
 
Forgive me for pointing out the obvious, but have you tried just asking him? lol
