In the words of Inspector Clouseau, there is a time and place for everything.
But then Ron Paul has made a political career of, for better or worse, ignoring that principle.
I don't understand why anti-government people would be so anti-Paul.I like Ron Paul

You would think that someone who believes World Government is bad, strong centralized federal government over local government and a government that dictates peoples lives are bad, would favor someone who wants to radically decrease the size and scope of government. Who advocates leaving the UN, and who isn't for building an empire.
I do disagree with some of his libertarian values. I must say though, he's better than the supposed "Religious" Right, who have no problem with pillaging, plundering, and unjust war.

As I recall from several debates, he does not believe it is the place of our government to intervene in their affairs. Thta does not tell you in and of itself whether he personally condemns or condones the actions of those nations(and many whom we prop up). He has said though, that if we are going to go to war, let's at least do it constitutionally and legally, unlike what we have done since the end of WW2.ron paul has no problem with those things either...when vladimir putin or omar al-bashir do them...

Got any legitimate sources?diggs...he actually wants a World Bank.
I don't recall him ever saying he's isolationist. If so, oh well. His seems to be quite a different brand from what the U.S. has had.yes, he has said he is isolationist (which i agree with).
Again, sources?but he's actually a globalist of sorts (not a contradiction if you understand how his world bank would work).
Why, because he might cut government spending which is about to destroy this country anyway?he was FOR the most crippling austerity for american citizens anyone has ever articulated - we should be grateful he wasn't elected.
We're about to be in a worse situation. I'd take not having an ipad (which I don't have anyway) over an imploding currency, banking system, economy, and the riots/looting that will come after. Not to mention of course, that the debt this country has is at sinful levels.your standard of living would have gone to zero.
The Gov. can't afford it, and shouldn't be taking care of that. That is something you and I as individual citizens are responsible for. It also should be dealt with at more local levels. These programs are just instutionalized theivery.it's too late to (and in my opinion the US shouldn't) do away with a minimal social safety net.
It's good to know what's in it, and what they're doing. I'd rather have the ability to audit, than not know anything.his stuff about auditing the Fed is silly.
Not everyone.everybody knows the Fed is an extortion racket.
It would help if you pay attention to what he says.to my knowledge he never called for seizing it (or closing it and the Federal Gov't starting to issue it's OWN currency).
I'm fine with a severely limited federal government. Government it is to encourage the general welfare, not steal from some and give to others.his version of libertarianism borders on anarchy.
Yeah, Gov. officials and those who have a government job would lose in the short term results.there would be serious winners and serious losers in Paul's program.
Maybe in the short term results.mostly losers.
Got any legitimate sources?
