Hi everyone! :) urm... So I got saved last year in march at a Jesus Culture conference! I was delivered from being gay as I gave my life to Jesus! And I was delivered from porn! And a year later, I feel like I can't grow because lately I've been experiencing this huge desire for porn and I know it's wrong but I just keep going into porn sites! And I feel annoyed at myself cause I do that whole thing of repent and sin, repent and sin! So I've come searching for some help as I don't have any previously gay friends in my church! So if you have gone through this exact struggle or you're going through this at the moment (would be better) it would be seriously cool if you could reply and I'll give you my mail so we could help each other out! Please only previously gay guys reply to this, would appreciate! And sorry if you're an openly gay Christian, I'm not saying that you are wrong, all our walks with God are different! Thanx so much!

No offense, but it could be that you are 'still' gay. I don't know. In that case it wouldn't be a good idea to befriend 'previously' gay guys. And speaking of porn; you should consider doing something healthy with your body instead, like sports. It's a good way to release some of the energy in your body in a much more gratifying way.

I want to befriend guys going through what I'm going through so that I can build my strength, because I read 1 Peter 5:9 last night which says, "Stand firm against the devil and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are." I know that if I can make such friends that it'll be easier for me to discuss my difficulties. I'm extremely sure that's why God gave me that verse!

I didn't say 'you're still gay,' I said 'it COULD BE you're still gay;' there's a big difference there. It would explain some of what you said about your inability to 'grow' and your reoccuring interest in porn.

And maybe it does help, if it makes you more aware of the things you REALLY have to deal with.

Welcome to Christian Chat, Fireman7. I know of one new Christian who left the homosexual lifestyle. as for your inability to grow and your obsession with porn. Even though I have not engaged in that lifestyle, I am still having issues with. I know of a site that can help www.x3watch.com and on it, they have a free version for your computer, just download. I would be glad to be an accountability partner and if you can, you could be an accountability partner for me. Also, when it comes to growth in the Christian walk, sometimes it goes from leaps to bounds and other times, it usually is going one step up and two steps back or two steps up and one step back or some other pattern. So do not be discouraged but trust in the Lord and focus on positive things. Read the Bible to get stronger in your faith, develop a habit of prayer to God, and when you are tempted to look at something online at home (I have been tempted to even though I have not come out from your lifestyle), go to your room and pray to God. I have other resources and websites that can help you deal with your past life. Exodus International (www.exodusinternational.org) is a good resource to help you to avoid giving into your past temptation. God bless.

P.S. I am not of come out of that life but give your problems to Jesus. You wanted people to reply, who came out of that lifestyle. I am just here to help, nothing more and nothing less.

Ok when you pray Tell God that your fight is with him and that u give yourself over to him cause only God can deliver from your sins the first battle is giving yourself over to him. Have faith tht he"ll guide u correctly in all your ways, you slip from time to time thts cause your in his grace but jus pray everyday n night and watch him work, and Welcome to CC Fireman

I just read your post, and I am not an ex gay person, but an ex sinner saved by the blood of Christ, the reason you are still IN great bondage to your flesh is because you never repented of your vile sins, you claim you got delivered, but where is the deliverance?
Your eternal destiny is at stake, and I know you may hate this message but its the truth, and I love you enough to give it to you.

IF you think you can still be in bondage to porn, or a gay lifestyle, and God just turns His back, and accepts us all as we are, then you are greatly deceived, I ask you to please seek out the truth, repent, and take heed, the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God!

Its Not Too Late For you, but you must come to God on His terms not your own conceived notions!

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not purposing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
As long as mankind has breath repentance can be found, yes I mean found, it usually doesn’t come until the sinning soul breaks down, yielding to the holy word of God, through the conviction of the Holy Spirit, who is convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment!
Joh 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Joh 16:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
Joh 16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
Joh 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
Now many will say repentance comes after the conversion, or somewhere down the road since stopping any sin is impossible, since mankind is depraved and unable.
But God is not mocked, God is still waiting patiently for His wayward creation to repent, forsake their sins, which mean they stop first, and then seek His mercy, broken as a wild horse, now useful to His master. He gave them free will and ability to choose to repent or not.
Rom 2:4 Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and the forbearance and long-suffering, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
If your life is a mess, and you are living the lie, that tells your conscience you can sin and live of the world and still be saved, and in bondage to your flesh, giving into temptation whenever it comes knocking at your door, just remember it’s not God condoning your bad conduct, but your conscience becoming seared to the point that real repentance and faith will not be found, it will be too late, His great mercy and kindness will not last for long!
So it’s not too late for those who still have breath, and are ready to stop playing Russian roulette with the patients and mercy of God, this is not a game, this is life or death, for all eternity, repent before it’s too late and God says time is up.

For True Repentance to have Taken Place the following MUST have Occurred:
1) Season of Deep felt Godly Sorrow for sin. (Invoked by Spirit of Truth working, Jh16:8)
2) A Crisis of Conviction that Cuts to the heart! (Sin already being forsaken!)
3) A Zeal to CLEAR oneself of all Wrong Doing against God. (make restitution if necessary)
4) Indignation and Fear that leads to Vehement Desire to STOP Sinning!
5) Vindication and Finally PURITY of heart!
Every incident of Repentance in Scripture Follows this PROCESS. (DON’T Let anyone tell you it Doesn’t, and they will MOST certainly Try!) The Sin STOPS HERE, The Old Man DIES here, The Flesh is Crucified HERE! NOT Afterwards. The Desires and Conduct are CHANGED here. (Or never will be!)
OBEDIENCE to God follows in NEWNESS of Life and All things New! (Rom6:4-6, 2Cor5:17) If you have NOT Experienced this and have NO IDEA what it means, you are NOT BORN of the SPIRIT!!!
You may indeed have ‘RECEIVED’ Christ, and ‘Believed’ on His Name (repeated some words) BUT the Devils ALSO Believe! (James2:19) If a Person is SAVED by What he DOES and NOT by Faith Alone! (as James affirms, JS 2:24) The What he DOES PART, STARTS with This REPENTANCE!
I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds! Acts26:20

Welcome Fireman7! I don't have those kinds of struggles, but I think pretty much everyone reading your post feels some kind of struggle in their life. Even the apostle Paul had his struggles:

And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. [SUP]8 [/SUP]Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. [SUP]9 [/SUP]And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. [SUP]10 [/SUP]Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12

I find reading God's word and intense prayer have helped me with such temptations and struggles. I often just tell God, I am too weak for this I need You to take care of this for me, and I just give up my will to Him.

Thanx Brittany! @Tommy4Christ you told me everything I already know! You don't know my full testimony! I was delivered and I gave my life to Jesus! I was free for a long time! I'm obviously just experiencing struggles! But thanx anyway!

First off welcome, second. I used to be bisexual, though I am a girl i know your struggle. I went thru the same thing. Trust me when I tell you there's a way out of this! :) in job 31:1 "i have made a covenant with mine eyes, why then shall I look upon a maid?", I found redemption in God. First, yes it was hard. But steady I told myself no Sharon you will not do this, the harder you stand against it the easier it gets. When the tought Crosses your mind to watch porn tell yourself no. Then switch your thoughts to something else fast, trust me it works. Also, pray on the manner, God knows your struggle, if he brings you to it he can bring you through it!

But if it dies, it brings forth much fruit!

Joh 12:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone; but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit.
Joh 12:25 He who loves his life shall lose it. And he who hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal.
These powerful words from the mouth of Jesus Himself sum up in a nutshell, what real repentance unto salvation produces in the contrite sinner seeking reconciliation back to God!
This grain of wheat represents the struggling sinner, coming to self as the prodigal and whole city of Nineveh did, broken through a deep crisis of conviction. This death of the flesh (grain of wheat) must occur through repentance in order for it to bring fourth much fruit!
So death must occur for the grain to grow and produce a good crop, and we must also bear this death of the flesh, in order to walk the holy, sanctified life unto God, pleasing in His sight, ready to grow into the man or woman of God He desires up to be, set free from the bondages of sin, and the love of the world!
But this death comes with a high price, many refuse to pay, because they have bought into satans masterpiece, telling the lost sinner, he doesn’t have to repent, or stop any vile sins, but to just confess, and receive Jesus while their flesh is alive and well, and remains that way until they do this first:
Jas 1:21 Therefore putting aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, receive in meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls.
Jas 1:22 But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Yes this death MUST occur, or nothing happened, you are still defiled, and sold under sin, Jesus didn’t magically transfer His righteousness and obedience onto you, you cannot transfer another’s persons virtue onto someone else, it’s all about free choice and ability.
You choose to die in repentance (putting to death all sins leading to death) and if this death is real and genuine, then new growth can now take place, with a heart cleansed and purged of all defilement and disobedience to God!
The new convert in Christ, will now be hungry for the truth, and righteousness, dead to the world, and his old life, now alive to the kingdom of God, dead to self, and now alive to the spirit within him!
You must hate your old life that was bent on destruction, full of lust and worldliness, now focused on your new life walking the narrow road with Christ in the lead, showing you the way, as you mimic and follow Him, through the power of the Holy Spirit!
You don’t do it on your own, or in your own power or strength, but IN the power of the spirit, and the word of God that wells up inside of you, as you now can learn and understand it with a clear conscience, filled and being led by the spirit of truth!
So as commanded by God, you must crucify your flesh (die) as the grain of wheat did, then seek the mercy of God, alive and submissive to His command’s, ready to obey Him from a heart of love, devotion, and fear!
Eze 18:31 Cast away (REPENT) from you all your sins by which you have sinned; and make you a new heart and a new spirit; for why will you die, O house of Israel?
This casting away produces death to the old man, now ready to make a new heart and spirit unto the Lord, alive and converted into a true Saint, free from death and condemnation!

Good thing to do, very good thing. but be careful that you also do not also fall.
i would suggest that you get strong in faith first before you do this. taking your walk with GOD step by step aswell.
