Well i want to thank you Elin for continually stressing on this thread that the Bible does not plainly state Jesus is God. I have appreciated your contributiion to the subject
Alas, I am far from perfect, and sometimes, when goaded do respond, though I accept responsibility obviously for doing so.
It is my hope that as you passionately believe(I can produce the posts if neccessary) a person must believe Christ IS God unto salvation there will come a time when you will carry that conviction outside of this website and demand ministers preach plainly from the pulpit what to you is acceptable and unacceptable belief as to who Christ is unto salvation and the consequences of getting it wrong. I really cannot understand your mindset, huge amounts of Christians simply believe Jesus is the son of God(i KNOW THAT FOR A FACT) and why wouldn't they? most of the ministers don't insist they believe otherwise, why are you not outraged at this? Do you not feel greatly for people who go to church and are not plainly taught the truth and the consequences of getting it wrong?
Do you feel the ministers have no obligation here to plainly and clearly state from the pulpit the core foundational truth of the faith(according to you) and the consequences of getting it wrong

Oh I am not in a soup Abiding, I don't have one set of Christian convictions on this website and another set entirely when I leave it, that is wishy washy beliefs, neither am I the one making extra biblical demands for salvation, you must try harder, if you want to deflect from who is in the soup

Whether or not you care to admit it, you have been doing the same thing that you have accused everyone else of doing. I don't think anyone here has denied that Jesus is the SON of God. We have stressed that Him being the SON of God has major implications, that go far beyond what you think of Him. You keep producing scripture that says Jesus is the SON of God, but no one is disputing that fact. We have produced scripture that says He is also fully God, yet you do not consider it and then accuse us of not 'standing on the plain words of Christ'. John 8:24 is a clear indication that Jesus called Himself the I am; it is the same as John 8:58.
Anyways...I'm sure that you are going to have something unkind to say about how I haven't answered you, how I've failed to produce plain scripture for you, or how I have repeatedly ignored the scripture you have put up. Just, try not to get too frustrated with us 'head theologians' over here. And, please try to remember that you don't walk around with us everyday so you don't really know us, nor do you know what our faith actually means to us in the real world (not over the internet).
