That's the struggle we all go through R.Z.
Not a new problem. - (Can you imagine David walking on the roof of his palace, seeing Bathsheba bathing....)
What did his mind say? - "She sure looks good...I am king........I could have her!"
As quick as a snap. BAM!!! He was in like flint. - - - - - Then he was out like cold stone toward God.
David,.....this was a man that regularly got songs from God.......he wrote not only the 23rd psalm but the prophetic 22nd.
"My God, My God, Why hast thou forsaken me?"......This was the man David: who took on a nine foot six inch warrior
who weighed a full six hundred pounds, built like a linebacker. - - -Killed him dead flat with the help of the Holy Ghost when he was a teenager. Ran from the king of his country, hiding out in caves though he was a champion. He,(the man David) wrote the very psalm Jesus heralded on the cross,(Psalm 22).
Yet after he had the adulterous affair he was so hard as to not even know why the prophet Nathan showed up.
Many hurtful troubles ensconced his life after that.
Such a small trigger,.....such a large blast.
See,......all the kings chose women or girls (or young boys) to be in their harems; but not God's anointed.
God don't play that. So David the great King, the sweet psalmist of Israel, the Prophetic voice was continually
hampered for the rest of his life by his moment of self gratification.
You see R.Z.; the thing is, it's not so much God wanting to do it, it is Satan claiming rights.
See, Satan couldn't care a less if another lost king from a different country took whomever, - that king was going to hell anyway.
But when a child of the kingdom falls......cut the dogs loose......he has say. He has prerogative.
This is the danger. So we must keep our flesh under subjection. - - - - But God is faithful and just to forgive.
- - - But we will pay a price, (Satan is both unforgiving and exacting). He extracts every ampule of blood, every glint of
life he can - (He's a complete bastard!) You think he gives quarter? No games here son. - This is life and death; this is eternal life and eternal separation.
It's serious.
It's very serious.
Wonder why God spoke in seldom words. Because He can't afford to prevaricate, too many souls at stake.
But God is faithful and just to forgive(only He can do that); and His tender mercies are new every morning.
So when the four and twenty elders ans the beasts exclaim before His throne - "worthy is the Lamb that was slain!"
It is no small worship but a deification of His greatness. - Certain greatness has never happened to anyone except Jesus Christ -who only deserves it as the true Holy One. - - - - - - - No small thing.
A perfect semblance of beauty is He. - - - Even time and space stop in His presence, so Holy is He.
The sun turns in shame from His piercing brightness, ......the universe cowers next to His display.
Yet His tender mercies are new every morning(penned by David).
Praise and worship isn't hymning dixie.
Seraphim do it because each pass they notice or feel a new and greater power.
You want love?? - - - His love would kill us - (we'd drop dead on the spot - to much to handle)
So we see both the Holy power and the immutable grace.
And we love......but not like we are loved!
And we seek......but not like we are sought after.
Perfect beauty, grace, and power. - Everything we seek is in Him R.Z.(though our flesh kicks against it)
