Hi donkeyfish07. Our former pastor is now working for Christar. He said that most American missionaries are leaving the country.He is training filipino missionaries to send to different parts of the country. I'm not sure though.
Hi Donkeyfish07, warm welcome from us glad to know that u have a heart to serve and mission in the ph .I think PH are still open for mission work as it says in Luke 10:2 He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.

My cousin just got back to the U.S. about a year ago from the PI after about six years of missionary work. My cousin picked up a family over there... lol. Be careful if you go to the PI to do missions work because you might end up married! LOL.

one thing that makes them fall for a Filipina is , aside from they are 'beautiful' (as said by donkeyfish07) is that they are Hospitable - in
general, filipinos are actually known for being hospitability . . .

If you really have the heart to do a mission here in the Philippines, I'm sure there still a lot of places where you could go to, especially the remote areas. Our country may be small, but it consists of no less than 7000 islands with more than 100 ethnic/tribal groups living in it with different cultures, different dialects.
True the Church seems to be growing, but only in the lowland areas,and mostly Catholic. We still have fellow brothers living in highlands who still believes with all these superstitions and has a different way of worship and still ignorant what true Christianity is all about. You might want to study and learn their culture first so you could adapt easily and a little of their dialect which would really help in getting their attention. I too would love to meet these people someday.

That's great k'jem one of our regional overseer pastor in mediterranean and UAE is goin to take his theology too at philippines bible school and some filipino missionaries abroad. hmm i think u'l gonna meet her at the department store Maria Clara brand name for wine
The southern Philippines has a long history of conflict .Muslim areas a degree of self-rule, setting up the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).The ARMM is composed of the mainland provinces of Maguindanao and Lanao del Sur, and the island provinces of Sulu, Tawi-Tawi and Basilan...But there are some Islams who lived in another city/provinces are peace loving community perhaps some of them decides to convert from christian to muslim and from muslim to christianity.
I heard throughout the Middle East are being attacked and killed while thousands upon thousands have fled their homeland in hopes of finding a safe haven in western countries. For example, in Iran, the Revolutionary Guard has taken over the oversight of churches and has arrested scores of Christian converts from Islam. In Kuwait, the Saudi grand mufti told crowds that it is “necessary to destroy all the churches in the Arabian Peninsula.” In Gaza, Christians have allegedly been kidnapped and forced to convert to Islam. These cases are just a few of many extreme acts and threats of persecution in the Middle East , it is likely that Christian persecution will continue to increase .
