"Clean Energy" Could Lead To Increased Bills For Those Already Struggling Financially

2 million energy consumers in North Carolina could be facing a rate increase of nearly 10% due to the power company's investment in "clean energy".

Progress Energy Carolinas needs to raise $390 million to recover costs invested in clean energy.

With people already suffering in this poor economy, this rate increase could hurt many poor families.

This is not the hope and change many were looking for.
As Wall Street continues to prosper, the poor get eaten alive by Obama "clean energy" policies.

In its 2010 review of grants extended from 2005 to 2010, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund admits to buying off (quite literally) so-called “non-green voices”- meaning people outside the environmental community- to sell man-made climate change doctrine to their respective communities.

“(…) foundation dollars extended to support these non-green voices have grown dramatically (…). The RBF has supported “allied voices for climate action” that include businesses, investors, evangelicals, farmers, sportsmen, labor, military leaders, national security hawks, veterans, youth, and governors and mayors.”

because they can not breathe!

So if you factor in the environmental impact of "dirty energy",
"clean energy" makes sense...

I think maybe people should invest in their own power source. Buy solar panels and such. I don't know, just a thought. It's what we plan on doing. Might not be for everyone though.

This ultimately does make more sense. I have often thought the power grid to be an outmoded method of power delivery as power lines are too vulnerable and centralized. This is, however, something only viable in the long-term. Being completely energy independent is a long way off as far as possibilities are concerned.

Satellites capable of collecting large amounts of energy and beaming it down...now those are also fascinating prospects.
