So, majority rules then?
hmm, yea i guess so. something like that.

there's a lot of if's/and's/but's though...

too long and complicated to go into detail here.

would have to be a system that is constantly adjusting to new developments/situations...

Dark, but what if the majority are wrong? What then? If there is Truth, it is Absolute, not relative. Truth is only Truth when it's true irrespective of belief (doesn't need all people to acknowledge it as real to be real).

Finally, logic does have to be derived from somewhere, otherwise how do you distinguish logic from that which isn't logical? It's good that you believe in something beyond the physical but please take that a step further and realise there is one True God who is calling you to Him to join in his hope and freedom and no longer rebel against him. I agree with you that science isn't always logical because conclusions are based on the worldview of those doing the experiments etc.

of course there is only one truth. but what is that one truth? thats the question. it could be any number of things!

well i guess my logic is derived from things i've learned in life.

on the contrary, if i was bored i would be sleeping lol

i hope you're not so blind to think i'm only fueled by boredom...

also, you seem to be discrediting me cuz of my age/lifestyle.

in which case that is a very poor attitude.

then give me a shortened version of the if's/but's/and such. :) I guess I'm asking, who would have the ultimate say in what the rules would be? What if majority ruled that it was okay to murder all unwanted babies - after they were born? Would that be okay, or is that one of the 'buts'?

well if you create them knowing that they will become homeless and then you give them shelter well that does not make sense...

maybe you did not make them homeless but you created them to become homeless. why not just create them with homes already?? haha

and some people say: god wants us to rely on him. well government also wants us to rely on it...
They WERE created with a home, it was their decision to break the lease. Why give them the lease knowing they were likely to break it? That's just the difference between having a family of humans or a closet of Barbie and Kens. There's no free will, no life or living, without a choice, as stupidly as we might choose.

God doesn't want us to rely on Him, He wants us to rely on each other, for it is thru each other that He gives His gifts to us.

I really don't want to condense it cuz faults are easier found without the details to fill them in.

as you know it is not a simple issue...

and like i said it would have to be an adaptable/flowing system so there would be no set list of procedures/rules...

The thing is we were ignorant like animals when he first created us...why did he withhold knowledge from us? sounds rather strange...

Rely on each other?? umm, bible says "jesus" is the only way to "heaven"...
