If Osteen believes in Christ and Christ crucified, it's good enough for me. We are to live in the presence of God. Joel does. Moses did. Abraham did. Many didn't. They were apostate. Again, THINK before speaking out against someone who is leading sooo many to Christ
Sure, like I said, it's not the perfect gospel, but, then, again, Who is perfect? Only one 'Who,' I know of that is, what about you?
Live in the presence of God and help others live there, too, and, there is none finer than Joel for TEACHING that kind of abiding lifestyle in Him.
Sorry, I didn't identify 'WOF,' and, it should be claimed a name
, 'Word of Faith' preaching (no, not 'movement,' that's you who say that , not me), that is, there are those that believe that by the power of God and truly living in His presence that great things can happen and, the preachers of this stance on faith preaching believe that giving away large tithe and money amounts leads to great blessings from God.
I find it funny, very, that there are those that preach against this being right, when, truly, in order to truly understand the preaching of W.O.F. you would have to be 'God,' because He is the one who works in the presence of the lives of these people who are in the presence of preachers who are in His presence, too.
I have heard no bad stories of deceit and 'Jimmy Swaggart' type swindle stuff either from this kind of preaching, I am not a part of it, full disclosure, but that does not make it wrong, it's just not perfect, I think, most will say, but i venture to guess, not judging, just saying, that, perhaps, those thinking this way need to have a heart-to-heart with God about their own giving, and, just, maybe, there's some sort of bittterness there that's hard for you to see, and, you could use some words of faith into your life
Why not? What's God telling you? I don't live your life. How is it going? I just know in the darkest hours of my life, I've, basically, thrown myself at God and said, 'OK, Lord, I am beginning to see now, more of you and less of me.' This has gone for various things in my life and God's anchored me through all my extremely tough times that were really not tough at all with Him.
I just don't get it??????
The Lord leads..... Do you see horns on Joel's head? No , you see someone who teaches and preaches to 'live victoriously,' and, the power of positive thinking and Joel is someone who knows God, and, loves God, and, Jesus, and, Joel is doing TOUGH work, I agree, he does not preach perfect, but, he is reaching so many for Christ and what God does to Joel is evident now, nothing. He hasn't smited him, he hasn't stopped his ministry, the Devil, too, can't touch this man of God. So, why do you try?
You're not the Devil, are you?
