Re: Complete ownership...

Who was Jesus talkng/praying to Bowman, Himself?
God the Father.

Observe that He does not ask for anything - rather, He dictates what the Father should do.

I See, so the Son dictates to the Father, and the Father obeys
Are you sure that's right?

Show us anywhere in chapter 17 where Jesus asks for anything.

Everything that Jesus states is matter of fact.

There is no asking.

Only telling.

Is this what you do when you pray?

Didn't think so...

Can you answer the question, go on just once.

IF the Son dictates to the Father, are you saying the Father then obeys the Son?

Who, but God Himself, calls the shots in prayer?

Who, but God Himself, calls the shots in prayer?

But which God Bowman?

And why can't you answer this

If the Son dictates to the Father, then is the natural consequence of that the Father obeys the Son?

This is called the Trinity, brother.

No different than 'Let US make them'...in Genesis.

Again...do you tell God what to do when YOU pray?

What was the outcome of Jesus' prayer?

Was Jesus glorified like He stated?

Time to start using your head.

You're stuck...

I am stuck waiting for an answer I am obviously not going to get
But that's OK, IF you don't feel you want to answer there's no need to deflect from that i accept it.

We are told that those in Christ are the sons of God. So, it cannot be that just Him claiming to be the Son of God was the reason they wanted to stone Him. But I do remember it being said along the lines that He equated Himself to God.
Son. son. Hugely different.

Re: Complete ownership...

The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ,[SUP][e][/SUP] the Son of God.”
[SUP]64[/SUP]“Yes, it is as you say,” Jesus replied

Matt26:63&64

No mention there of:

Tell us if you are God Himself
Mat 26:64 KJV - Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

To use of the KJ Bible.

Where do I begin?
Actually Jesus was born a man.
Good so far.
His deity (not being God but having the nature of God, which is what the word means) was granted to him when he ascended. The Bible makes it clear that God granted him powers and granted him a new name (in the bible the name is the power) and had him sit at God's right hand.
Oops! Take a look at Psalm 22.

Psa 22:9 KJV - But thou (Jehovah) [art] he that took me (Jesus) out of the womb: thou didst make me (Jesus) hope [when I was] upon my mother's breasts.
Psa 22:10 KJV - I (Jehovah) was cast upon thee from the womb: thou (Jehovah) [art] my God from my mother's belly.

This is a conversation between the Humanity and Jehovah.

So God wasn't begotten.
.
Jhn 16:28 KJV -I (Jehovah) came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

Jhn 1:1 KJV - In the beginning was the Word (Jehovah), and the Word was with God (the Father), and the Word was God. (Gen. 17:7)
Jhn 1:2 KJV - The same was in the beginning with God.

But Jesus has been given his present position by His Father (God)
What exactly is the position of the man, Jesus?

Jesus wasn't the creator of the world that is an intentional mistranslation. The world was created "on account of" Jesus, not "by" - look at concordance use of the word the trinitarian KJV scholars decided (in a non-inspired way) to back up their doctrine.
True enough.

The plan of God (the logos) always had Jesus in it to redeem man. So God made things "on account of " Jesus.
Logos who is not the planner is the creator. Logos is the Word. the Word is another name of Jehovah.
Jehovah did nothing that was not for the Father.

Where does it say that prayer requires a request?

If I may....Jehovah prays to the Father with absolute faith that he, the Father, will do what is asked of Him. He is not dictating, but showing His FAITH.

Re: Your're stuck too...

No I ask with complete FAITH that it will be done as He sees fit!!!
John chapter 17 shows that God the Son tells God the Father what to do in His prayer...thus, putting the Son on the same deity level as the Father.

Mark is trying real hard to digest this, as he rejects Jesus' deity...

Jesus said "if you have seen me, then you have seen the Father, for me and the father are one. He was also baptized in the Holy Spirit". Jesus( the Son) told the pharisee's " before Abraham was I AM"
