Hey everyone,

I'm not sure if this is appropriate but I just received my first negative rating, with the comment that I have apparently posted too many threads concerning the dreaded "M-word." (I won't even say it, lest I get myself into more trouble, but it's the word for... singular sexual activity.)

Sorry if I'm offending the person who gave me the negative rating, but here's one more thread! :)

I wanted to make one thing clear: I was raised in a very conservative Lutheran church (though now attend an Assemblies of God denomination) and have always been taught that it is wrong.

So why have I posted about it? Because I am interested in people's thoughts, opinions, Biblical knowledge, and struggles.

Which is, of course, the reason why Christian Chat exists, at least, to me.

Please keep in mind, I was once studying to be a criminal psychologist, and though that path did not work out for my life (for a reason, I'm sure), I have spent a lot of time going to prisons voluntarily, and if you keep it real with the people you're talking to (especially since I almost always wind up talking to guys with extremely long sentences or life), this subject almost always inevitably evolves.

My threads are a way of asking all of you advice on how to approach this topic in a Christ-centered manner. I read and take to heart (and prayer) every stance I've seen here because the people I talk to come from many different backgrounds, troubles, and perspectives.

I am NOT here to try to justify it, but rather, learn ways to be able to speak to people more effectively about their concerns.

Thanks for all your support and interest!

God bless,
Kim

Thanks Missy :) Caught ya lookin'! Just kidding. One of my bosses always uses that line from Forrest Gump on me: "Kim, you're like a box of chocolates... we never know what we're going to get with you."

And good one, Sam... I think maybe from now on... I'll try to stick with a more neutral choice of M-words?

Nah, probably not.
