Of course God is not threatened. But he is also not pleased. We are told in Scriptures what pleases God, and taking part of pagan celebrations is not one of them.

Do they come to Christ? Or, do they come to a pagan Christianity and think they are coming to Christ?

Is it legalism to tell people to be obedient to God?
it is legalism to say one is saved or not saved as for how good they are at obey Gods commands.

judge not lest ye be judged.

For God did not come into the world to judge the world. but through him the world might be saved.

Your not going to win anyone to Christ condemning a holiday we can do nothing about.

Elizabeth... I agree on most of what you said except one crucial part.

I've tried wearing black... it does nothing for my fat... I still stand out like a full moon over a dark sea.

How can you call "the star of David" a "good thing that God likes"? Do you know the origin and history of the "star of David"?

ok remember what Paul said about things made by human hands? Should we recognize the cross? man that'll get some people going. I see it as this, praise God for the spring summer winter and fall. Praise Him for the cross. Not the piece of wood but what was nailed to it. The only cross I ever wear is one that belongs to a ministry I am deeply sold out to not that I see it as Christ on it but that I know what Christ does thru that ministry. As far as seasonal holidays, I find myself always waiting on the next season as I so long for spring now.Celebrate the passage of seasons in whatever manner you wish but the Sabbath is still the Sabbath, Holy Days are still the Holy days, and we, the chosen are Israel (Romans 8:28-9:28)are His and we need to recognize what He has set apart. Any cross( not "The Cross" but "trans") worshiping of "holidays" ie Easter for the true Passover is westernizing and bastardizing Gods Holiness and His sovereign design of redemption. If he is the same yesterday as today as so many preachers spew out of their pulpits then nothing has changed except for the revelation as to who HIS TRUE CHOSEN ARE (Not those of the flesh but those of the Spirit no matter what the nationality)then we should be running to worship all "Jewish" holidays. It baffles me to see Christians talk about Judaism as if they are separated from Israel. Christ is the fulfillment of Judaism...He is the Messiah, my Messiah, and I for one will visit not the "church" but the synagogue on these most precious days as I so long to worship as the "first fathers" those great apostles did

Some Americans tend to make mountains out of molehills when it comes to these topics. It's not ungodly to celebrate Christmas and Easter. Get over yourselves!

lets quote all the verse now and not buy into common political correctness of the body... judge not lest ye shall be judged in like manner meaning if you are judging an area of someones life someone is judging yours in same manner. Does yours stand the fire? And as far as judging the World(Kosmos) doesnt He later say that He came to judge the Kosmos? In fact isnt He the Judge of the Kosmos? Look up the Greek of Kosmos. If you say it means "all" then John contridicts himself constantly in the 70+ usages of the word. It means the world...the inhabitants of the world in a large or small sense, just as "all" is used in context both in English and in the Greek word pas as opposed to the Greek work holos. pas meaning in context holos truly meaning "all"

If materialism is your game, then that's not good but the sharing of presents at Christmas time, reminds us of God's gift of Jesus to us.

How can a pagan holiday bring people to Christ?
Probably the same way I became a Christian in 1996 when it was right around Easter. Whether people call it pagan or not it was when I really realized the sacrifice Christ made for us. Sure, I could have become a Christian in July, but for some reason being reminded of the resurrection in Spring of 96 played a big role in me becoming a Christian.

14Stop becoming unevenly yoked with unbelievers. What partnership can righteousness have with lawlessness? What fellowship can light have with darkness? 15What harmony exists between the Messiahf and Beliar, or what do a believer and an unbeliever have in common?16What agreement can a temple of God make with idols? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said:
“I will live and walk among them.I will be their God,and they will be my people.”
17Therefore,
“Get away from themand separate yourselves from them,”declares the Lord,“and don’t touch anything unclean. Then I will welcome you.18I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters,”declares the Lord Almighty.

- 2 Corinthians 6.14-18, ISV, isv.com
Do these verses of Scripture mean anything? Is it right to mix the birth, death and resurrection of Christ with paganism. Not according to this passage of Scripture. The problem with modern Christianity is that the Bible means nothing.

Idolatry has always been wrong. Modern Christianity embraces it.

You have no faith in the power of God to use all things to his glory? wow.. ok. remind me not to follow your God. My God is able to do all things.
