Hold on.
I can see where you are coming from, But I disagree. But unlike Zone here., I will not condemn you to hell for disagreeing wiht me.
lets look at it in order
1st event:[SUP] 26 [/SUP]“And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
Fulfilled with the death of christ. One week (7 days) after messiah the prince came when he entered jerusalem.
2nd event: And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
Fuflilled in AD 70. some 37 years after the end of the 69th week was fulfilled.
the question is, Who is the prince who is to come, we do not know from this yet,, but Daniel is told later
3rd event: The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
Fulfilled? Are war desolations of jerusalem still happening? We can say yes, they have since the destruction of the city.. so we can logically determine, these events are still taking place.
4th event[SUP]27 [/SUP]Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
Who is he? He must be the "prince who is to come" And he must come from the people who destroyed jerusalem. which is WHY gabriels said the people of the prince who is yet to come (he was not around in the day they destroyed the city) will destroy the city. Otherwise, the comment of the prince who is to come makes no sense.
fulfilled? no one has made a seven year covenant yet. still waiting.
5th event. But in the middle of the week.He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
He. who is he? the one who makes the covenant. Is He Christ? Christ did not enter the holy of holys, let alone defile it with a pagan unclean thing. (which is what the abomination means) Christ also did not stop sacrifice and offering even after he died. Sacrifice and offering never took away sin, And since the return from exile in babylon. Isreal has continually been in sin anyway,k so their sacrifices were not even seen by God, or blessed from that time on.
Fulfilled? Again, not happened yet, still waiting.
Next event. Even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate.”
Consumation? what consumation? this would be the time of Gods wrath, which is poured out on thei earth, The "time of great tribulation spoken of By Christ.. which shall be like non other seen before this time or after..
Who is the desolate? those who reject Christ.
Fulfilled? still waiting, for what happens when this is complete?
According to christ, his return!
