It's normal for bad thoughts to pop up sometimes. What matters is that we don't entertain them; don't dwell on them, and as soon as one pops up, pray "I bind this thought now in the name of Jesus". Then try to think about something else (perhaps pray for someone who needs help, or sing a praise or worship song). Before it happens again, though, thank Jesus for dying for your sins, and ask Him to fill you with the full indwelling power of the Holy Spirit :).

Doesn't the bible also say that god loves all his children, unconditionally?

He most certainly loves us, Regina, but He also wants us to follow Him so He can bless us more and so we don't hurt others. Certain things we are commanded not to do if we want to be on the Lord's "good side" :). When Jesus talked to the woman who the crowd wanted to stone for having committed adultery, He didn't say "oh, you're good; whatever you want to do is fine". He said that He didn't condemn her, but to "go, and sin no more". He later showed His amazing love by dying on the cross to take the punishment for our sins. Although He loves us despite our sin causing Him to have to sacrifice Himself to rescue us, He wants us to follow his commandments, partly so we can protect ourselves from the consequences :).

Please do enlighten me with your definition of sin. To me sin is anything that damages my/any other persons relationship with God or fills the space that I allow to come between myself and God, but I am bisexual and I always have been and it has never separated me from God. The only separation that came between me and God over this is falling into depression because so many people in the world, even the ones claiming to speak the word of God when God is love, showed me hate. Those people sinned against me by causing space between me and God. I'd also like to point out that being gay is not CLEARLY wrong in the bible as the bible is interpreted differently by different people which was Gods intention, that way it relates to that persons situation.

Guys thank you for the advice. If you want to give any more thoughts or advice about this topic, that would be great and I wouldn't mind of course. The advice is really helping, and glad I'm not the only one who has gotten these kind of thoughts. I just thought that if these type of thoughts popped in my head, it meant I'm this or that or I'm gay or bi which then I realized is quite silly because I am a STRAIGHT young woman of God and I just have to realize that the devil is just trying to confuse me and play with my mind and it's probably just hormones too. Like You know if you have gotten an intrusive thought about killing someone and you don't entertain thoughts, it doesn't make you a murderer unless you ACT on them of course. Thoughts don't define who you are I've realized. It's a spiritual battle with me sometimes, but I know I can win.

Hey swagglester! (Hope I spelled that right)
I'm 16 and I've been through something similar, I think you're just a little confused. When you see other girls & you think they're beautiful and stuff, the devil is trying to confuse you by putting the thought of bisexuality in your head. Thinking another girl is pretty, or you like their personality is normal, it's called a girl crush (don't take this seriously, it just means you admire them.) Just don't let the devil tempt you to give in to those thoughts and turn it into sin. I've liked different celebrities and I've gotten confused about certain feelings too. It can be very annoying and discouraging. Pray without seizing and keep waking with God. It IS a sin to be lesbian, gay, or bisexual. But being tempted is not, resist the temptation. Flee from it. & maybe listen to more Christian music (this helped me!) I'm here if you ever need to talk, I'm sorry that you're going through this, but I know you can push past this with God! Don't hesitate to talk to me if you need to! 2nd Corinthians 3:5-6:)

hey woah
is this THAT sort of christian website?
guys, there's nothing wrong with being bisexual or gay. God's fine with it, Jesus is fine with it, please don't do this to someone else.
OP, there isn't a problem with what's going on. experimentation never hurt anyone, just be kind and respectful and decent about it and there won't be an issue. maybe you are, maybe you aren't, but Jesus wants you to be happy no matter who you're attracted to. Love as Jesus would love: indiscriminately and universally.
AGREED.

The lord has made everyone who they are today. Skin color, race, gender, orientation, People do not CHOOSE these. The lord made everyone the way they are because IT IS IS WILL. IF SOMEONE IS BISEXUAL THAT IS BECAUSE THE LORD MADE THEM THAT WAY.
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING GAY OR STRAIGHT OR BISEXUAL.
You can't force yourself to be who you are not. I have a straight friend who hurt a girl so much because she claimed to like her and then said she was straight all because she was afraid of the lord.
God loves us all.
He made us to be who we are.
Loving each other no matter our gender is what god would want.
He would not want us to hate on others.
The bible teaches that MANY things are sins and yet we still commit them. The bible is a book of god but i feel has been corrupted by the hate of man for so many years. It has become a book that rules over so many.
Turn to the lord. He is your savior. He loves you NO MATTER WHAT.

If my loving god sends me to hell because i am pansexual then so be it.
But god would not send a child who is a good christian into the pits of hell for loving someone.

Where you're wrong^ is that God didn't create us that way. It's our own free will and choice. We were born with sin. It's in our human nature but it's our choice to either rebuke and turn away from that sin or act on that sinful thought. Like it clearly states more than 1 time in the Bible about God stating homosexuality being an abomination. Yes, God loves each and every one of us, but hates our sin.

People will always try to defend the homosexual lifestyle by saying we are to love everyone. Which is true, but Jesus said "if you love me you will keep my commandments"...iti s also clear that Jesus said mariage was between ONE man and ONE woman, and Paul confirmed through the Holy Spirit that homosexuals will not enter the kingdom of Heaven. People also do not understand that attraction is desires of the flesh which is against the spirit. God does not approve of fleshly desires.
Yet, people will continue to twist scripture to make themselves feel better foolishly thinking it changes Gods word.

Anyway...in saying all that you do need to calm down a little. You're 16. You're not a little girl and not a full grown woman yet either. You are at THAT AGE where many things are confusing. Sexuality is more talked about in public and homosexuality is more accepted by society. I can see why you are having certain thoughts. While they aren't good thoughts you aren't the onle one that has thought this way.
It would be a good idea to stop looking at videos of gay families, and you may need to stop associating with your bi sexual friend if you feel she could be part of the problem. Sometimes we dismiss thoughts and put them in the back of our minds and then one day they just kinda pop up front and you wonder where it came from. That is sort of what the subconscious does.
The best way to avoid it is to pray for guidance and deliverance and to stop associating with anyone or anything dealing with bisexuality.
You are still a normal girl though. Don't fret too much, and at least be glad you recognize the issue and you are wanting help for it. God knows this, and is happy you feel the conviction.

Hang in there. Teenage years suck, but you will survive and before you know it you wont worry about this stuff anymore(no I am not talking down to you, I am sorta jealous I am not your age anymore)

God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for homosexuality. He also destroyed Pompeii for they same reason. Study your history. He also, will destroy us if we keep accepting homosexuality. Can I call it gay or pervert. Actually gay is a misnomer. Cause gay means happy. I just want to mention that those who say its ok are in more danger than those who practice. Hello Episcopalian.

Being gay is NOT a choice.
If i could be straight i would. But i am not. Needless to say i have a relationship with a guy who i have been with for five months and i plan on having a family with him someday.
If my children are gay i will love them just as much as god does.

the bible talks against gays.. how can you think god justifies gays... its just a choice. its psychological, all kids are normal when they are born.. if they are being raised by a father figure they dont know how to be a man, they act confused and strange and people just call them gay.. soon it gets them thinking later on in life and he just choose to be gay. this happens today..

god doesnt justify people being gay.. in the bible it even proves it... study up more on leviticus

Hi,
Just FYI: this is a popular misunderstanding about Sodom. Ezekiel 16:49 says:
"This was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy." There are other passages I could send you to. Please private message me if you would like to know.

Gen 19:1-5
The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lotwas sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground. [SUP]2 [/SUP]“My lords,” he said, “please turn aside to your servant’s house. You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning.”
“No,” they answered, “we will spend the night in the square.”
[SUP]3 [/SUP]But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate. [SUP]4 [/SUP]Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. [SUP]5[/SUP]They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”

Do you know where the word "SODOMY" came from? I'll give you one guess.

Homosexuality was accepted in ancient Rome. I am not saying Pompeii was destroyed because of homosexuality, but more likely due to sins in general. It was destroyed in 79AD, and my preterist beliefs do lead me to think that God may have had a hand in the volcano eruption.

The fact that Pompeii is not actually mentioned in the scriptures I don't feel it is the best idea to present this theory as fact though. I am not dismissing it due to I personally feel Revelation had alot to do with Rome and was fulfilled in the 1st century. I am not going to go to great lengths trying to prove it either.

that seemed rather rude, Sodom& Gomorrah was destroyed for many things... like homosexuality, plublic nudity, rape, murder.. ect.

Noah Ark: same things happened... and God destroyed it.

this will soon happen to america if this keeps up, other countries that allow it [The sin above) will soon be destroyed if it gets worse.

now why wouldnt God destroy Rome for allowing people to be gay?

with sin consequences are the same. they had free will but sometimes free will there are consequences
