The Gospel of God is like a pot of JAM
I will be bottling my yearly KORRELFONFYT this afternoon…. Korrelkonfyt is a jam that is cooked with an equil amount of figs and grapes together with suger to make the BEST jam ever….

I used Katoba grapes this year. Katoba is a grape that is called glippertjies, which means something like slipping grapes…. They litteraly SLIP out the shell when you squeeze them. They are very tasty in jams but their disadvantage is the amount of hard big pips they have.

So I cooked a BIG pot of about 30 liters, just about 6 gallons of this jam. So you can imagine the amount of pips I had to remove to presect a PIPLESS pot of jam…..

I see the jampot as God’s salvation. The figs are ok and they need only to be peeled and washed then they can be added to the pot for cooking… the grapes has to be also INDIVIDUALLY picked to be added, however they need to be picked, washed and squeezed out then they are also added to the pot.. WITH the pips still inside. If you squash them to get the pips out, as I did last year your jam is to watery, not thich enough. So you have to cook the meat, carrying the pips and the skins together in the pot t obtain a nice thick jam.

Once the jam is cooked all the pips are cooked loose and they float to the top. There you can pick them out and remove them from the cooked jam. Some, although VERY little would be cooked in the flesh still surrounded by a nice sticky sweet grape meat. You onlu need to squeeze the cooked meat and the pip will come loose.

God’s pot will HAVE NOT A SINGLE PIP IN IT… You see the pips are like sin in the building blocks of God’s Church… God will have ALL the pips removed before God adds the JAM to HIS POT…. God will not allow a single pip, no matter what size or from what grape it came from into HIS POT…

If God says MY POT OF JAM HAS NO PIPS… OR … GOD’S PIPLESS JAM. You can take it to the bank, There will be no pips in his jam! And God only sells PIPLESS JAM!

I enjoy reading your stories :)

If the Almighty speaks it we do not need to look in the pot but rest assured it is a seedless jam.

The Crusaders could have torn it down, too, but the building was so beautiful that they decided not to. Instead, they stabled their horses in it. if they had destroyed the dome, all those wonderful day-year and time-times prophecies about the restoration of Israel in 1948 and the freeing of Jerusalem in 1967 could never have been fulfilled. And if new Israel had torn it down, it could have started WW3 and they figured they already had enough enemies.

There's an interesting sidelight, though. A few years ago, a conservative group of Israelis, led by a couple of rabbis, were doing a dig under the Temple Mount, ostensibly for archaeological purposes. The IDF decided to investigate and discovered they were packing the tunnel with explosives, intent on blowing up the Dome of the the Rock. Needless to say, their well laid plans, however noble, failed. <smile>

hi Cobus...this is your thread - it kinda got derailed, and since you went off-topic on mine, cut me some slack as i go off topic here:rolleyes:

thanks, man.

lol....that's most definitely a solid foundation for reverse-engineering some math and waving a wand over Daniel's 70th week.

ah yes....a pagan temple in Jerusalem which now is is the center of everything, fo sho.
we'll even rewrite scripture to make it so.

just no clue what Paul is saying here in c.54AD (a wee bit before 688AD or 1948AD)

Galatians 4
Sons and Heirs
1I mean that the heir, as long as he is a child, is no different from a slave,a though he is the owner of everything, 2but he is under guardians and managers until the date set by his father. 3In the same way we also, when we were children, were enslaved to the elementary principlesb of the world. 4But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, 5to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. 6And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

Paul’s Concern for the Galatians
8Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods. 9But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more? 10You observe days and months and seasons and years! 11I am afraid I may have labored over you in vain.

12Brothers,c I entreat you, become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You did me no wrong. 13You know it was because of a bodily ailment that I preached the gospel to you at first, 14and though my condition was a trial to you, you did not scorn or despise me, but received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus. 15What then has become of the blessing you felt? For I testify to you that, if possible, you would have gouged out your eyes and given them to me. 16Have I then become your enemy by telling you the truth?d 17They make much of you, but for no good purpose. They want to shut you out, that you may make much of them. 18It is always good to be made much of for a good purpose, and not only when I am present with you, 19my little children, for whom I am again in the anguish of childbirth until Christ is formed in you! 20I wish I could be present with you now and change my tone, for I am perplexed about you.

Example of Hagar and Sarah
21Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not listen to the law? 22For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by a slave woman and one by a free woman. 23But the son of the slave was born according to the flesh, while the son of the free woman was born through promise. 24Now this may be interpreted allegorically: these women are two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children for slavery; she is Hagar. 25Now Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia;e she corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children. 26But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother. 27For it is written,

“Rejoice, O barren one who does not bear;
break forth and cry aloud, you who are not in labor!
For the children of the desolate one will be more
than those of the one who has a husband.”

28Now you,f brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise. 29But just as at that time he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so also it is now. 30But what does the Scripture say? “Cast out the slave woman and her son, for the son of the slave woman shall not inherit with the son of the free woman.” 31So, brothers, we are not children of the slave but of the free woman.

hmm - possible options

1) this is contrasting jews and muslims
2) this is contrasting two covenants
3) this is contrasting two jerusalems
4) this is contrasting christians and jews
5) this is stating plainly who wil,l and who will not inherit eternal life
6) this is stating who persecutes whom, for what reason
7) paul didn't have the right doctrinal update

hmm

what was Paul talking about i wonder?

i suppose he didn't have the new soteriology opened to him like we do today, based on a rock possibly under a desolate temple site.

a place where unregenerate people kill and persecute each other continuously because they both believe the exact wrong thing about that islamic shrine, and that location.

none of them have any clue Who The Stone is, where Jerusalem is, where Zion is, and what happens when The Corner Stone falls on people who reject Him - ground to powder.

oh well.
who knew Paul shouldn't have written Galatians?

Hi Cobus,

When you say 'perfect', which of the roughly 15 words which can be translated as 'perfect' are you talking about?

Complete and in need of nothing for our righteousness besides Jesus?

Love undivided and of which we are commanded: we are to be perfect as our Father in Heaven is?

Sinless as God who has no shadow of darkness in Him and which Job said he was not?

Blameless and without spot as the Son was as the Lamb?

ummm

yes but Jesus tells us we are the branches, NOT the fruit.... the fruit would be what is referred to in Galatians 5:22: love, peace, joy, gentleness, faithfulness, patience, and self control.

and seeds are not evil, but contains potential life.

John 15

New King James Version (NKJV)

15 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. [SUP]2 [/SUP]Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away;[SUP][a][/SUP] and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. [SUP]3 [/SUP]You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. [SUP]4 [/SUP]Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. [SUP]6 [/SUP]If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. [SUP]7 [/SUP]If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will[SUP][b][/SUP] ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. [SUP]8 [/SUP]By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
Galatians 3:16
Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.

I refer to the one where EVEN GOD would declare.... THIS IS MY SON IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED.... LISTEN TO HIM!... Also this one.... AND HE WILL CALL YOU BRETHREN AND NOT BE ASHAMED. I refer to where Jesus would not be ashamed of me, and God would be WELL PLEASED in me.... That is the one I refer too!

What I cannot understand is that you cannot understand, it is NOT MY WORKS OR WORK to be perfect, IT IS GOD'S. Every person that Jesus calls BROTHER is His brother because HE HAS THE SAME SPIRIT IN HIM THAN JESUS HAS.... They are God's Family, because GOD ADOPTED THAT PERSON. And if God adopts, HE ADAPTED (changed that person to be EXACTLY LIKE JESUS)

Who changed the person to be like Jesus... GOD! Why did He do it, because HE WANTED TOO! Hw did He do it, by PUTTING JESUS IN THAT PERSON... THE SPIRIT OF JESUS IN THAT PERSON. ONE SPIRIT, ONE PERSON!

Cobus, you mean the work He does within and through you.

I think sometimes you are misunderstood to not giving credit to Heavenly Father and the Messiah and people think you are boasting of your own good works and achieving perfection "yourself" i believe you are witnessing of the power of the Holy Spirit to guide and comfort.

Follow the Good Shepherd who leads us on the path of Righteousness for His names sake.

Matthew 11

[SUP]25 [/SUP]At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
[SUP]30 [/SUP]For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Love is what makes the yoke easy and the burden a delight.

Luke 17

And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. 6And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.7But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? 8And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? 9Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. 10So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
This saying is a humbling one for me :)

I agree my sis I am not, but I would not go as far as to say there is NO ONE HERE like that, that means Jesus is not here, and I would hate it if He is not here. So, I would not say that.

Also just because we are not there YET does not mean we CANNOT get there. Let me put to you what is in my heart. And this time I really hope God gives you the sharpest eyes to SEE me.

I am a sinner, AND I HATE IT. I cannot love like God loves with sin in me. I want to love me as God loves Jesus, I want God to love me as HE loves Jesus. I want to love Jesus as He loves the Father. And I want to love the Father as Jesus loves Him. I want God's love in me. I want God's love PERFECTED in me as James wrote.

If I can love me, as God loved Jesus, then I can love you as myself. And God above all. I CANNOT LOVE ME, when I sin. If God comes and shows me sin, HE SHOWS ME A LACK OF LOVE IN ME....All sin is a lack of love. But Zone I have to give God all the glory, EVERYDAY I pick up my cross and EVERYDAY, I SEE myself BIGGER in Truth, and less in EVIL. Praise the Lord Jesus that HE IS NOT TIRED, NOT EVEN AFTER 2000 YEARS.... He is STILL as faithful as he was even before the earth was made....

If we have no hope of being sanctified WHOLY, why have any hope at all? I did not place that PURE hope in me. God did. AND THAT HOPE OF THE UNSEEN IS MY FAITH.... I cannot SEE the righteous Cobus, but I have FAITH that he will be here. Is faith not the HOPE of the unseen? And is it not by THAT faith and the GRACE that God would make me so, that I will be saved? My faith is that the GRACE of God will PERFECT me FOR HIS KONGDOM. You see Zone, if God's grace runs out and I remain sinner, God WASTED faith. I know my sins are FORGIVEN by His grace and the workd Jesus did on the cross... But I also know HIS GRACE RAISED JESUS from the dead, and so will HIS grace PERFECT me on this earth (He will TURN ME FROM MY INIQUITIES). You see if the Lord had NOT raised Jesus, I would not be turned....

Zonie my dear friend please read this with love and a open heart.... PLEASE Zonie, read it with the love I write it. And you will SEE God's work in me..... PLEASE ZONIE...

God gave Jesus to be crucified, TO GET US CLEAN! But God did not stop there... GOD RAISED JESUS so that WE DO NOT GET DIRTY AGAIN.... HE says so so beautiful in His Word.... It did not stop by the RAISE from the dead, but God SENT HIM AGAIN, this time IN SPIRIT to do what Zone.... God now sent Jesus to get me clean, to turn me from my iniquity, and God sent Him to BLESS me....

Zonie, imagine being cleansed by Jesus an being blessed by Jesus to TURN from iniquity. I hope you SEE that this blessing is FROM God. And one thing I know about God is... IF HE BLESSES, it STAYS BLESSED... NOTHING can unbless what God has blessed, NOT EVEN ME!

nope, I think he thinks our spirits are replaced by God's Holy Spirit and he ignores scripture that talks about our spirit shout out with the HOLY Spirit Abba Father.

instead he invites a spirit he refers to as Jesus to replace his own spirit, which is both dangerous and unbiblical.

his mantra "One Spirit, One person"

I would like to think he means it in a Spiritual sense that the church is joined by the Holy Spirit into one body with Christ being the Head, but unfortunately his other previous posts have proven me wrong.

no he more often than not still refers to having one's spirit replaced by "god's"

or perhaps he has repented of his false doctrines and no longer believes it but he has yet to say so.

My dear sis, INDEED, and to put there minds at ease.... I am not even as bold as to say God is WORKING through me, as to say... I give what God teaches, FREELY, and NONE of my reasoning is of myself, I am way to UNWISE to be this WELL SCHOOLED. It is MY Teacher the HOLY SPIRIT that makes my writings so Biblical and Truthful. HE is the Author of the Bible, I am the SCHOLAR.

To God ALL the glory, and the power, and the kingdom, FOREVER, AMEN!

Thank you sis, for the wise repremand. I appologise if any of you came to the conclusion that Cobus thinks he is special... I am a filthy rag, but my TEACHER, Oh WOW! And if this rag learns TRUTH and he shares it, I am still only a rag, but the WORDS I SPEAK, it is TRUTH AND LIFE AND THE WAY TO GOD!

I don't think english is Cobus's first language and for all i know it may not be yours.

I believe he refers to the Holy Spirit and wanting to be Baptized with it.

Cobus, do you ask to be Baptized with the Holy Spirit?

Luke 11

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

This is what I mean and say... because I believe these verses....

John 17...That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Acts 4.... This was done to 5000 men...

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul:
Eph 4....
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

If God says he FILLED us with HIS SPIRIT, FILLED, made full, where is there place for my spirit? How can there be place if GOD FILLS? Where is my spirit then?
