In other words, you have to make something up to fit your theology. Where is it written that those who pierced him would be in heaven when they see him the clouds, or having been resurrected. You should understand the danger of adding to Scripture instead of accepting what is written. See Revelation 22.18-19.

The OT spoke of a time when Gentiles would be granted entrance in the kingdom on a grand scale.. This is the kingdom you speak of.
it also spoke of a suffering servant coming to take the sin of the people. This is Christ's first advent.
It also spoke of a messiah who would come and rule physically on earth. after he completely destroys evil and the final gentile kingdom.
we must make sure all three types of prophesies are interpreted in light of what they were meant to say.

That's because, A) Your premise is wrong. No one said anything about anything being fulfilled before 70 AD. The coming of Christ did not happen before 70. B) For the rest, I don't have an answer. I do not know everything. But perhaps someone else does.

agree, although those who peirced him could have been saved, Even Jesus said forgive them, they know not what they do, if they eventually recieved the one they peirced.
If they did not, they would be in hades awaiting being delivered to christ for eternal judgment, not in heaven. awaiting their ressurection to eternal life.

Thank you for this post. Many of my fellow preterists that the revolt ended in 70, but I believe you are right with 73. Therefore the date of the return of Christ could have been 73. I never really was one who held 70 AD as a hard date. The only thing I know for sure is that the temple was destroyed in 70. But that does not mean the end of the Roman army offensive ended in 70.

So when will our bodies be redeemed? Seeing that when we became saved we were redeemed in spirit. What about our minds and our bodies.
I will agree that when saved we are redeemed in spirit. I will show scripture that our minds are being renewed by the word of God. However our bodies will be redeemed at the last trump. If we were totally redeemed when Jesus performed the cross. Then why would he say when you see these signs look up for your redemption drawith nigh.

I usually give or take a few years anyway. The thing that I have always understood about apocalyptic writing is TIME isn't the issue with prophecy. It never gives exact dates. It gives signs of what will come to pass., but not exactly when.
Yet when you argue with a futurist they prefer exact dates which is totally understandable.. I say 70AD because it is around the time many things happened. Revelation is not in chronological order. It took me a long time to see that, but when I threw my ADD out the window it made sense.
I read one preterist article on this passage and it said the battle was actually judgmeent. Which makes sense as well. Scary thing is though is God will destroy nations. Not just at judgement, but it seems all powerful nations in the past grew to superpower and eventually fell. Like the Roman Empire. Pride and arrogance is a HUGE factor in the fall of nations... now look at America. Wasn't pride the thing that got Satan kicked from Heaven? I don't believe America is Babylon or anything like that(Im not a futurist), but just from knowing history repeats itself and how God destroys nations America will soon fall from its superpower.

Heb 10:27 says, "But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries." Satan will go forth throughout this world until Christ comes again and he will be gathering his forces together. They will be defeated one last time at the "great day" of judgment.
Now that we have an understanding of what the battle of that great day is, we can determine the symbolic meaning of Armageddon. In Rev. 16:16, we are told that they will be gathered into a place called Armageddon. Since Armageddon means "mountain of sorrows," we can see that the forces of Satan will be gathered into a place of immense suffering and agony. They will be cast into a place of fiery destruction which is symbolically called "Armageddon." This will be a place of tremendous sorrow. A mountain is a great mass and symbolizes something of great quantity. The quantity of sorrow and pain the followers of Satan will experience in hell is beyond expression. They will be gathered into a place called "Armageddon."

Ecclesiastes 1.4 states that a generation comes, a generation goes, but the earth lasts forever.
In Genesis 8.21 it is written, "And Jehovah smelled the sweet savor; and Jehovah said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake, for that imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more everything living, as I have done." - ASV
I think this establishes that the earth an all it's inhabitants shall be around forever.

so when will the curse be removed? will it?
and where do the redeemed eventually go? do they actually see the Jesus from scripture?
is there another heaven and earth? or is that figurative? do you have two parallel existences for eternity?
or is this one renewed at some point? what would be the point in that?

One thing that I have learned through covenant theology is that the covenant of Christ is a covenant of Grace. Because of this, I don't believe God destroys nations. I believe He allows them to destroy themselves. And America is doing a great job at her own destruction.
