When you find this out be sure to let me know lol Honestly you can't control your emotions you can only control how you let them show whether it's mental or physical. I can't control when I am mad or sad but I can control screaming at the top of my lungs and curling in a ball crying. Basically you decide your outlet and wether you control your emotions and give it to God or you let them control you.

I agree. It all depends on the outlet of your emotions.
Also I think it's really important to note that "controlling your emotions" should not be mistaken for stifling them, numbing yourself, or letting them build up in your body as stress. That can do more harm than good in the long run, health-wise and relationship-wise.

Sometimes emotions are a very good thing. They give us empathy for others. And they make us want to nurture others who are hurting. Just like everything else in life, gotta use your emotions constructively, and with balance. Be mindful, or else they will turn on you.

I think too many people in my country think of being sensitive as a weakness, but I see it as great strength if someone learns how to both be a passionate feeler, and learn how to channel it right like God intended. :)

Just read a great book by, Lysa Terkeurst called "Unglued" (making wise choices in the midst of raw emotions). Well worth it and the author is funny and makes it seem like you are not alone in all of this!!

I suggest a good place to start is turning off your caps lock.

Second, there is no quick and easy method to this. Its a matter of time, patience and a lot of hard work. You have to be vigilant in paying attention to your thoughts and emotions and trying to take control of your emotions when you see them welling up.
Also, be aware as a female, who seems to be naturally emotional, you will always have a level of being emotional, so you will have to learn to accept some of it.
