Being a christian is a really wonderfull thing and to have god in our lives is special and we all share unique relationships with god. I think however that its very easy for people to dramatise they christianity, praying every minute of the day and preaching to people isn't going to score you any browny points with god he loves us all equally. Its those sort of people that have given christians a bad reputation in the past, for example if you get a christian preaching to an outsider that they live in a sinfull world and that they will go to hell if they do this or that and that they should turn to god is quite frankly going to give non christians or even christans that are more suttle about they faith is going to make the christian society look like a pack of crazy nutters. I wish people would stop they crazy antics and just follow and believe without all the drama.

Wow, your posts amaze me! You confess you sin like the devil, then spread your propaganda of confusion, scolding the few who love you enough to give you the truth, do you think Christianity is just about fun and games? Do you think God winks at sin, and disobedience in your life and the lives of others who profess Christ?

You are following the wide road that leads to eternal destruction IF you think you can sin like the devil, and all is well with God!

And when you speak out against the few giving truth, that you cannot accept, and see it as hate, then you would also hate John the Baptist, and all the prophets, as well as Christ who preached repentance and faith proven by deeds, so I am afraid you are on the wide road, and pray you would wake up! As well as those who agree with your lukewarm exhistance!

Wake up!
Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand; therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
Many who profess Christ as their savior today, are asleep to the works of darkness, they have fallen into complacency and are oblivious to the evil that lurks all around them. Their consciences have become seared and closed to any truth that could set them free from their bondage's to the darkness and lies coming out in droves from the professing Christian world.
Casting off the works of darkness, isn't possible in their minds, because they have been taught sin is a calamity and not a crime against God, they play around with sin and temptation, fast asleep to its hardening effects on their hearts.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
Romans 1:19 because the thing which may be known of God is clearly revealed within them, for God revealed it to them.
Yes, the sad fact is that many suppress the truth in unrighteousness by teaching one can remain in their vile sins and still make it into heaven, no questions asked, the provision has been made for them, and all is well, even though the word of God wholeheartedly refutes every argument they have to defend their saved in sin gospel, or be abandoned by the system they know and love!
Putting on the armor of light,(armor of God) is only accepted as provisional today, it’s a nice suggestion, and good to do, but in reality, since they were saved IN their sins, then this would void and nullify the power of God and Christ to keep one far away from any sins that would disqualify them from the kingdom.
Instead they remain, asleep to the truth, that will set them free if they would only wake up, from their slumber, repent as the city of Nineveh did, not assuming anything from God, and hoping they will be granted mercy for their disobedience and rebellion.
The gospel according to godliness is rendered powerless and is nonsense to them, who love the lie over the truth!
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
The power of God goes out to those who believe(obey and follow Christ on the narrow road, Luke 9:23) this power is then given to those who come to the end of self as the prodigal son did in the pig pen, fall to their knees in humble repentance and faith, through godly sorrow that cleanses and purges the old defiled heart clean and pure of sin and worldliness, being crucified with Christ, Galatians 2:20, and then remaining awake and alert, working their salvation out daily with fear and trembling.
The church is asleep I am afraid, alive to sin, and dead to an obedient faith that can save their souls, because they have bought into the great lie that has and will lead many into perdition, that claims you will surely not die, but in reality you will die IF you do not WAKE UP! And come out of the system of great errors, through the clearing that will only come from real repentance and faith, proven by deeds. Acts 20; 21.
To wake up is to stop playing church, dig deep for the truth, flee from the wrath to come by coming to a saving faith of repentance, and an obedient faith proven by deeds, it’s that simple, no gimmicks, no fancy plans, and no fluff, just a simple message that has been lost in translation during the reformed era, that took the pure gospel, and added and subtracted from it to make it another gospel being taught as truth today! Seek the truth immediately, and you will be richly rewarded!
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
How many today are diligently seeking Him? How many today are willing to wake up, and compare the huge difference between what is being taught today as truth, and what the gospel according to godliness actually teaches? Not many as I am finding out. Wont you just step aside from your worldly concerns and entertainments for a bit, and seek truth at all cost, making it a high priority for you and your family’s life, remaining diligent and sober minded, and standing firmly against the onslaught of lies pouring out of the seminaries, colleges, and churches that are teaching a false gospel, keeping many in slumber, and unable to wake up!

We all sin, the world was built on sin that's why god was sent on earth to do his duties and to gather his lambs so don't preach to me please. Your going to be preaching from now till the end of time and it won't change a thing sooooo?

How do you know if God is telling some of them to do this? He told Jesus to preach, and Paul, and the apostles. How can you tell which Christians are doing it so they can have drama, and which one God actually wants doing it?

I understand where you're coming from, but it's a losing battle to try and talk reasonably with unreasonable people. There will always be the self-righteous the hypocrites and the mean-spirited. If you allow God's Word to strengthen you, their barbs will have less sting. I'm not saying they won't stop getting on your nerves, but you'll weather their attacks better. Put on the full armor of the Lord.

God Bless!

I don't see the part where sacredheart said he sinned like the devil. I missed that memo. I can tell you this sacredheart, I have an aunt, and all her life she claimed to be this pentecostal, and did weird things, said weird things, ect and so forth. Then I got converted to pentecostalism, and it isn't at all what she claims it as. She is very...... dramatic, and it drives people away!!!! People will know we are Christians by our fruit!!! our kindness, brotherly love, gentleness, all the fruits of the spirit. NOT by how loud and how often we find ourselves on the soap box infront of crouds preaching hell fire and damnation. Fear doesn't win people to GOD, LOVE DOES. Time and place for everything. If I want preaching, I go to church.

The consequences of sin are real but I do see what your point is. God is Love and all you really have to do to be saved is repent and believe that Jesus is the Son of God, he died for our sins, and that God raised him from the dead. People complicate it, split into denominations, bicker amongst themselves.....that type of stuff doesn't help things in any way I can see

All of them? Even Jesus, and the apostles? And you telling them they are wrong? That's preaching too, isn't it, and seems dramatic and crazy to some.

Jesus was once on earth as a human being putting his holy mark on the planet he spread his words to the people that was over 2000 years ago. For centuries people have carried on his legacy since he died on the cross, thousands of people watched jesus carry his cross through the city to calvery hill, its through eye witnesses and word of mouth that his legacy lives on today and that is why we believe.

whoa. It wasn't only eye witnesses that spread the word. It was the preaching of the word, by anointed men of GOD, writing to mission churches.

I personally have no problem inviting people to my church, telling them what a wonderful, loving, accepting place it is. How special our pastor is, how it felt like home almost immediately. But I only do this when appropriate, and then gently. I'm not as vocal on the scripture references, though I love it when someone else is. I'm currently reading Jesus, the One by Beth Moore. and long to have the love relationship she has had with Jesus most of her life. You can feel that love and passion in her words. I love God, believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins, that grace is a gift from God that can't be earned, and that the Bible is the inspired word of God.

Having said all that I DON'T believe we should be preaching condemnation, scaring others with the fury of hell if they don't repent. God is LOVE and that love comes with grace and understanding and peace. A peace that transcends all understanding. That's the part we should be sharing.

This is ridiculous, if you dont tell someone there sinfull and going to hell, what exactly do they need a saviour for? And what exactly do they need saving from?

Please belive me, those preachers who preach on sin and hell are the ones who love people the most. They care enough for the future of people's souls that they don't mind even being hated for it.

let me ask you this? If you saw loads of kids playing in a room and the roof was about to cave in on them but none of them knew, would you say 'oh I don't want to scare them, they look like they are having fun, ill just show them love, grace, understanding and peace?

If you truly loved them you would warn them and then plead with them to get out, you'd probably even start shouting and trying to scare them as much as possible. Look, he'll is real and most our loved ones/friends are going there, we need to get serious about it.

Matthew 10:28- 'Dont fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul, but fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell'
