Jesus obeyed His Father perfectly meaning all of the Law was kept and once He perfectly obeyed Scripture says "And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that OBEY HIM; Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing." (Hebrews 5:9-11)

We are to keep Christ’s words because He kept his Father’s John 15:10 Jesus says "If ye keep MY commandments, ye shall abide in MY love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. Notice here Jesus says MY commands and goes on to say as HE has kept His Father’s. He was perfect in the flesh who can claim such perfection? No one. Are we God in the flesh? Nope, God shares His glory with no one. This is important as it clarifies that we are to abide in Christ's love as He has abided in His Father. This is also why we see Christ in Matthew 5 and elsewhere in the Gospels quote the letter of the Law followed by Him contrasting with His teachings in which He says "But I say unto you or verily I say unto you." Those who have the Son have the Father and those who don't have the Son do not have the Father. (1 John 2:23)

The Father gave Jesus the words (the Law of Christ) to command us to obey. We obey his words in the spirit when we are dead to the flesh acknowledging we fall short and failed at keeping the law (10 commandments) in the flesh yet trusting in Christ’s redemption being born again to live after the spirit. Jesus obeyed His Father’s commands in the flesh because He was perfect. Can anyone tame their sinful nature to keep the Law (Torah) in the flesh? Scriptures states you can’t! 1 John 1:8-10 (Sin is transgressing the law) Romans 3:23 Hence why we are made righteous in Christ and not in ourselves. Now many will think but that gives you a license to sin that's not true, that is actually a lack of understanding of what righteousness apart from the Law (10 commandments in the letter) really means. God forbid, how can we being dead to sin that is to say dead to the flesh to then be still alive to our flesh yielding to sin. (Romans 6:1-2) If we don’t keep Jesus’ words (the Law of Christ) to love one another sacrificially in the spirit we are not of Christ nor of the Father’s.
 
Nicodemus had the privilege to learn directly fromthe Master Who used the words, born again. These words were under nothing, they were spoken plainly. All I ask is for someone, anyone show me where it says Jesus Christ has replaced the Sabbath or that He is the Sabbath. The Lord spoke once in dark sayings in order to fulfill the prophecy that they would indeed hear and not understand, and they would see but not perceive. This has not been prophesied for anyone else. What are these words under words contrived here for they certainly are not of the Master's teaching nor of His Word?
There is no reason to fear observing the day Yahweh rested as being set aside for His children to have a special day to commune with Him, especially in view of the fact that we have Jesus dwelling permanently in our hearts. The Sabbath is intended for physical rest from our mundane labors also, it is a gift symbolizing what is to come.
 
Many loved to quote walk as Jesus walked and take it literally... Walk as Jesus walked says 1 John 2:6 and many people twist this verse to impose that we are to keep the 10 commandments in the form of the letter which applies to the flesh but the truth is Jesus walked in the spirit and we are to walk as He walked which is after the spirit. Jesus kept the 10 commandments in the His flesh perfectly to give us salvation and righteousness after the spirit. HE died becoming sin (2 Corinthians 5) even though He didn't sin. He became sin for us and when we believed we died with him and became one with Him in death and His resurrection. Our flesh was united with His and Jesus that knew no sin became sin for us. Jesus laid down His life for us on the cross and we were united with His death which meant death to our old man crucified with Him but His Spirit cannot die since HE is the Author of Life and that life was united with our spirits because we believed and thus we were justified by faith. We rose with Christ being regenerated in our spirits (Romans 6:5) born again (John 1:13 & 3:3-5) of God INTO the Kingdom of God. Granted, we will one day get new bodies but inwardly we were made new our old man died and a new man united in Christ emerged. We are called to die daily and this may seem as a paradox since we are also dead to sin (or should be) but the Word of God is not subject to our rational thinking or logic the Word is spirit and life and there are no contradictions in the Word of God. So we are dead to our old man and we are to continue to count ourselves dead carrying our cross. When we walk as Jesus walked we are dying to self and it's passions that we may love others and this love does no harm to others this is done in spirit and in truth. Romans 13:8-10

I am seated in the heavenly places with Him Ephesians 2:6 why are you not grasping the realities of God's promises fulfilled in Christ? The promised rest is for you to hold onto now not later!
 
So you are teaching to not follow the Example of Jesus Christ as best we are able? This is blasphemy. The only time our Lord became angry was when the money changers were selling outside the Temple on the Sabbath. Shall the money changers now return in your view?

Amen. Continue with your study and reading of God's word. Pray for wisdom and understanding. And continue to use that God given common sense that so many seem to lack.

No, we are not under the Law of sin and death in the flesh which were the 10 commandments written on stone because we are dead to sin. Does that mean we are under no law? No, Paul states clearly in 1 Corinthians 9 that He is under the Law of Christ.
Now since we are dead in the flesh the Law (Torah) that applies to it is no longer applied but IT's NOT that we are not without Law we are now in the Law of Christ which is the call to love others as Christ loved them which was to the death and we do just that by dying to our flesh. It is a battle to mortify our flesh daily and love others the way Christ did. Example: If we get insulted really bad to the point of being embarrassed our flesh wants to lash out and it even starts producing thoughts that later we will most assuredly regret if we entertained them enough and act them out but if we die to the feeling of being humiliated and acknowledge that we need Christ in that moment we can overcome and be quiet not say a word back and even pray for that individual's salvation! When that is accomplished guess who did it? CHRIST IN YOU! We are united with Christ and are now one with Him thus He will always get the glory in fact the spiritual man seeks to only glorify HIM!

Anything that points to your contribution which is of the flesh is to be counted dead. When I pray and pour out my heart before God it's an act of the spirit not my flesh, when I am in the spirit as a result of mortifying my flesh I NO LONGER LIVE CHRIST LIVES IN ME. This is part of the mystery of the Gospel it's not that we are becoming better Christians BUT rather that Christ is living in us. We are actually IN Christ, (Pause and think about that for a moment) when we abide and walk after the spirit. Romans 6 speaks that we are dead and are spirit is now united with Christ Romans 6:5 EVERY ACT OF OBEDIENCE IS CHRIST MANIFESTING HIMSELF THROUGH US! IT'S NOT US BUT CHRIST IN US THE HOPE OF GLORY Colossians 1:27

WE DON'T CONTRIBUTE ANYTHING BUT CARRY OUR CROSS. We are one in Christ but Christ always received the glory and credit. The obligation to the do's and don'ts in the flesh and not the actual Law (the Torah) that mandates them was nailed to the cross. This is what Colossians & Ephesians 2:15 speaks of: the ordinances refer to the physical commands. In other words, it wasn't the Law itself but the regulations that applied to the physical since it applied to the flesh. The reason sin still exists is that we constantly battle everyday with our flesh in counting it dead. Thus why Jesus said carry the cross and follow me and why Paul said he dies daily. But confidence in the flesh is what me must avoid at all cost as Philippians 3:3 states, because no one will glory in the flesh before God and no one can please God after the flesh and no will ever will. So we actually die to trying to obey after the flesh that Christ may manifest in us and we obey after the spirit which can be witnessed outwardly however this obedience derives from being in the spirit cutting off the body of sins. When we cut off the body of sins we are acknowledging our sins we commit daily in the flesh and being truthful to God resulting in our flesh being mortified before the presence of God in prayer and worship. Halleluyah!
 
So are you saying I am speaking to you as you are seated in Heaven? That is pure malarky and not taught anywhere on this planet or any time since creation. Right now I must go for I am cutting down a tree. It is a beautiful palm tree, but it is destroying the community's property, so it must be removed. Jaume, if you can't see that in a spiritual sense then all I can do is pray and point you back to John 3 Marvel not that I say unto you that you must be born again to see the kingdom of God.

How long did God say His Sabbath and feast days were "physically" to be kept?

The better question is what are the true intents underneath that letter you're quoting? We are complete in Christ anything else added will nullify that profound truth and thus making God to be a liar or failing to see the heart of that truth will lead to the same results Hebrews 4 speak of in regards to the Israelites refusing to believe and not entering God's true rest.
 
JOHN 1:1-5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

This exclusive title of Jesus Christ is so vital in understanding the Gospel. Whenever a teaching diminishes or neglects Christ Deity it is heresy. The problem is that heretical teachings often appear to be sound and even mentioned Christ but since Christ is not the center of the teaching it does not stand when it is carefully and spiritually scrutinized.

Here's some questions to consider:

Does the teaching start and end with Christ as the center?

Does the teaching at some point turn away from Christ's finished work on the cross?

Does the teaching emphasize heavily on the letter while neglecting the very heart of the Word of God?

Conclusion:
Darkness cannot comprehend Christ's Deity as the Living Word of God so at best it can only see the surface of God's Word "the letter" because if it pointed to the heart of God's Word it will cease to be darkness and be light!

Young man, I received the Holy Spirit before you came into this plane, and I had read that particular scripture with understanding many times then, and dozens of times since. I, and all other body members who believe are reborn into the Kingdom, but you must learn this, you are not reigning as yet for the Kingdom has not been set up as yet and the King has not returned. Beware of taking a position as reigning before our King returns. Judgment has not yet been handed over to the saints. As for the term, born again, there is nothing hidden there, and it is not under words as put previously. If you wish to teach your elders, know the Word well first.

We don't make graven images, we don't commit adultery, we don't bear false witness, but yet we refuse to keep God's day holy. The Sabbath was never mentioned to become legalistic or a burden, but instead it's supposed to be a day that we delight in our Lord and saviour! Imagine if you will a day that you don't bother with the cares of this world but instead focus on the Creator, women, no shopping, laundry, dishes and such, just one day that you get into prayer, read your word, watch Christian movies, and don't think about your responsibilities, but instead think about your Lord, instead of thinking how to please your husband think instead of how to please your Lord. The more I think about it the more inclined I am to enjoy my first Sabbath, if praising and giving to God is legalistic or a burden, well I guess I'm legalistic then. I just can't see how giving one entire day to my God could possibly have any repurcursions!!

What makes you think something spiritually hence eternal out of time can be observed physically forever when a day will come when time will cease to be? Galatians 4:9-11
 
I agree homwardbound. In the love of Christ and for the love of the spirit, we are not to be judgmental on anyone who wants to continue observing the Sabbath day (physical rest), dietary laws and feasts because everything that you do for the Lord in faith is accepted as Colossians 3 and Romans 14 states HOWEVER the problem is when people try to enforce these observances on all believers (Jews and Gentiles alike) as a means of being obedient to the Lord and thus being saved if we observe them when that is confidence in the flesh. That is not the Gospel (Acts 15) "For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh." Philippians 3:3
 
Jaume, such boast is not of the Lord but of your flesh mortify it because the Love of God which is the heart of the Law of God is not present in your response.
