I went car shopping over the weekend and had a fun idea. Please post a pic of the coolest car you see on the road. You don't have to actually take a pic of it (I couldn't get my phone out of my purse fast enough to capture the one I wanted), though this would be better. Just remember what it was and google one. :) This is the coolest car I saw on the road over the weekend. It's a Nissan GTR:

I like this thread! I can't post pix while @ work (Yes, I am the last person on earth without internet on their phone...), but I actually take pics of cars while driving. Usually on the interstate, but not always. Last summer I sat through a light to get a picture of a vintage Ferrari. No one was behind me to honk, so it was totally worth it.
Prolly woulda been worth it even if someone honked.

There's one of these that is often out in front of a antique shop that I pass by on my way to work. Yes, it runs and they drive it.

I don't know why this car was on the road, because it was fairly rare but I love the retro-futurist design. Not practical for Aussie roads but it's looks are killer!

Heck, yeah! The car is known as the Plymouth Prowler, probably because it has a stealthly, dangerous appearance.

My uncle had a bright red Prowler for a few years... He loved to leave the top up and go through the drive-thru for a chocolate shake. The windows were so tiny he would have to turn the shake on it's side to get it in the car...

If you look closely, he has the "COM'L Truck" plate... Yeah, because this cool truck is doing deliveries for the NY Yankees, right?

Chrysler New Yorker (or alternate branding of same body) with the rear window replaced with a rear sliding window out of a minitruck + duct tape. This is cool.

Meh, just another black car I snapped a pic of out my driver side window:

But now Jullianna needs to teach Nuke how to park his car in just one spot at a time.
interesting side note, the fresh paper dealer plates showed to be out of Arkansas. Who knew they had enough pavement in Arkansas to have something like this there, eh? I'm always surprised how many of these 'horsey cars' there are here on my side of the metro.

Txt'ing & driving is still legal here, so why not take a few pix as I drive. Saves my thumbs from thousands of words.
Still looking for where I put that vintage pic... I'm pretty sure it was a 1951 through 1955 375 America roadster. It sure sounded like a v12!

That's purdy :)

Can this thread also be about jalopy's? Out where I'm at we've got some horrible cars driving around! Pleeeeaasseeee?

I know Jullianna said "the coolest car on the road", and I know you'll never see this tooling down the road, but it is the coolest car I've ever turned a wrench on...

It's my old boss/friend/fellow-church-sound-guy's car...Just a 1972 Hurst Oldsmobile with a few modifications...

What kind of mileage does he get with that thing?

It's not too bad, only slightly worse than a Prius.
The Olds is towed up to the line by a golf cart, it then is started, does the burnout, backs up, stages, runs the 1/4 mile, and is shut off as it runs through the timing lights at the end of the track. It runs through 6 gallons of racing methanol in one run... perhaps 30-45 seconds in total. There is no coolant/radiator...all of the extra methanol (alcohol) cools the engine down.

So...counting stops and starts, figure somewhere close to 25 gallons to the mile.

I used to have a fancy sports car, a BMW, it was an idol to me, when I repented I sold it for about 1/3 of what it was worth, now I have a 1999 Toyota truck, and very blessed to have it, as I came out of huge idolitry, where the word of God became my life and bread not lusting after fancy worldly cars!

What really matters!

Eph 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.
This verse alone truly summarizes the bleak condition of the modern church today! They would rather spend their time in total ignorance and darkness, where their understanding of any truth that than can transform their soul from the darkness to the light is lost in a myriad of false teachings, that promise them liberty while they are still a slave to sin!
Now having a darkened understanding or a wrong concept of God is a very serious matter, because if you are under the strong delusion God promised to send to those who do not love the truth, then you are being alienated (separated) from the life of God, which is your only lifeline to eternal life.
Claiming ignorance is no excuse on judgment day, as you have been given the truth by a few who love you enough to give it to you, and also brave enough to suffer the hate and false accusations coming against them as they stand in the gap for God!
2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving ones, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ (who is the image of God) should not dawn on them.

The god of this world has indeed blinded the minds of the unbelieving and also those who say they believe (obey, and follow Jesus on the narrow path) but just give Him lip service while they remain blind, unable and unwilling to see through the lies, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ could shine on them, and open their eyes so they can see to turn from the darkness to the light!

no one cares. At first I thought maybe you would post something beneficial to the conversation, but boy I should have known better to get my hopes up like that.
