obfuscate and sink deeper into your mess all you want to.
the internet is forever, and a few clicks reveals what you are doing.

shameful.
tsk tsk.
Why do you say shameful when I said: Either the Spirit is the Spirit in all His attributes, or He is not.

Does He not lead us to Truth if we hearken to Him?

Well I don't have time for detaileed responses now EG
But Christ said only the Father was the one vtrue God
He also said
The Father is greater than I
The Father is greater than all

Paul said
Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, and one Lord Jesus Christ

John said
No one has seen God AT ANYTIME
And Jesus said no one has seen the Father

Very plain scripture concerning this subject. Theologising to overturn it is not in my opinion advisable
thats fine bro..

Non of them prove anything. Again The father is the ultimate authority, And Jesus is lord. Thats why Thomas called him Lord and God.

Again, The OT it was the LORD who was the God of Isreal. And we are told this Lord God would be sent by the father to take the sins of the world. and be its redeemer. This was Christ. He was seen a few times..

again, I think it is just a matter of semantics.

But Who leads us to understand when we see err? Who is the One who says that path is wrong? Who leads us to Christ? Does not the Spirit lead us to Truth and does it not say in 1Jn 5:6 that the Spirit is Truth?

If the Spirit dwells in us and we hearken to Him, would He lead us astray to believe err or Truth?
He would lead us to truth. But we have to set our beliefs aside. I think MANY people actually think they have truth given by the HS.. As you do, and I do.. But they all do not agree.. so there is a problem saying every belief you have comes from God. it is a large assumption.

That is the point, and the point I've made to you.
You have ignored everything I have put to you Elin, the lot.

The plain scripture stands against you
Jesus said

There is one true God, the Father
Paul said
Yet for us, there is but one God, the Father from whom all things came and for whom we live, and one Lord Jesus Christ through whom all things came and through whom we live

Jesus stated
The Father is greater than I
The Father is greater than all

Will you tell me this. How could Jesus speak the word of God on this earth?

BTW
I responded to John 1:1 in the Trinity thread

I dunno'. . . and the Word was God. . .The Word became flesh

None of those scriptures prove anything?
In that case we can rely on no plain scripture EG
I think it best to leave this discussion here.

they prove the father has authority. which I have never denied. I meant they do not prove Jesus is Not God.

Isaiah 48: 12 “Listen to Me, O Jacob, and Israel, My called: I am He, I am the First, I am also the Last. 13 Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth, And My right hand has stretched out the heavens; When I call to them, They stand up together. 14 '"All of you, assemble yourselves, and hear! Who among them has declared these things? The LORD loves him; He shall do His pleasure on Babylon, And His arm shall be against the Chaldeans. 15 I, even I, have spoken; Yes, I have called him, I have brought him, and his way will prosper. 16 Come ye near unto me, Hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I, and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me.

Who is this speaking? who was sent by the father AND his spirit?

BTW Elin

I have given you very plain scripture as to what I believe on tjhis subject, why can you not do the same?
Ah I remember, you have many times stated on this website,
there is no verse of scripture that states Christ is God Himself
I dunno'. . .and the Word was God. . .the Word became flesh

seems pretty clear to me, even though the name Christ is not used there, as I previously stated.

he spoke the word of his father. He always did what his father determined him to do.. even in the OT..

I am not saying that everything I believe comes from God, knowing that we are not yet made perfect, but those things I do believe which are in err are eventually corrected by the Spirit by His leading me in Scripture. To that assumption, I agree with you. But, I also know (belief) He will lead to the Truth, as He does lead to the Light (Christ).

I also understand you when you say that not all believe it, but neither can I deny it.

You have to firstly start from the plain words of Christ
There is only one true God, the Father, you are now in effect, trying to get round those plain words
Paul also stated we have one God, the father, anbd one Lord Jesus Christ
So Paul and Christ agree
And John says
No one has seen God at anytime, so he also agrees

I would suggest you read OT scripture with those truths in mind EG
If you refuse to accept the plain words of Christ, Paul and John on this subject debate with me would be futile

Once again all you can do is ignore everything I have put to you, including Christ's words that the father isa the only true God, and keep repeating what you do
That is testimpony Elin to you not having much depth of understanding in reality
I'll let you post the same again, trying to contradict in effect the words of Christ, Paul and John who stated no one has seen God at anytime
Go ahead

we do not make a belief based on a few verses.

Again, who was it that said those words which the prophet Isaiah wrote down for us?? Was it pre-incarnate Christ or someone else? the question is not hard.

Why did you not quote the scripture EG as to why Christ could speak the word of God on this earth?

For the one whom God has sent speaks the word of God for God gives the Spirit withut limit

To you maybe, but Jesus said there was only one true God, the Father. If you are not a oneness pentecostal, I asume you refuse to accept the words of Christ

So how can you claim to accept the bible at face value, if you refuse to accept plain scripture concerning this subject?
I refuse to follow your truncated logic.

John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

More Bible straight terms.
The three are one. - - - - - Hello?
Ever heard of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost? - (Oh no! More bible.
)

There's much more than that EG, but at the same time we do not refuse to accept the plain words of Christ
Nor do we theologise to in effect overturn them
I know that on this website many revel in study/theolgy, but the pl;ain weords of Christ who spoke the word of God on this earth stand. And John and Paul agreed with those words

bro I am not trying to condemn or argue with you. If you think that, please do not. I just see those verses differently. Yes the father is the one true (only authority) God.

I am just asking, who said those words? can you at least answer, this will help me see where you are coming from.

So is your logic what you use to refuse to accept the plain words of Christ, AND Paul for that matter?
tHE hOLY sPIRIT WAS ON cHRIST in bodily shape/form
Amazing what you can do I guess when you try
Would you like to explain to me why neither Paul, Peter, James or John plainly commanded anyone to believe Christ was God Himself, let alone state this belief was needed unto salvation. As to you this is the core of the faith
Do you believe they did not have the spiritual insight you and others do today, or did they woefully fail their readers by not plainly and clearly telling them the belief upon which eternal life hinged?
