Malachy Prophecy: Next Pope Will Be Last
By: Jim Meyers

Ancient Catholic prophecies by a revered Irish bishop end with the chilling prediction that the next Pope to be selected by the College of Cardinals to fill Benedict XVI’s place will be the last Pope.

St. Malachy, an Archbishop of Armagh who died in 1148, left behind a list of 112 Popes that has amazed some with its remarkable accuracy.

Malachy used a short phrase in Latin to describe each Pope, beginning with Celestine II and “From a castle on the Tiber.” That Pope’s birth name was Guido di Castello.

More recently, he described Pope John Paul I with the phrase: “From the midst of the moon.” His reign, which began in 1978, began with the moon half full and lasted only one month — or one moon.

He was followed by Pope John Paul II by the Latin expression “Laboris Solis” — or translated “From the labor of the sun” — an expression meaning a solar eclipse.

As it turned out, John Paul II was the only known pope to be born on the day of a solar eclipse — and he was buried on the day of a solar eclipse.

A near total eclipse was seen across Europe on May 18, 1920, the day he was born in Poland. And on April 8, 2005, the day of the Pope’s funeral, a partial solar eclipse blotted out most of the sun and darkened a wide area of the world, from the South Pacific to the Western Hemisphere.

For the next Pope, Benedict XVI, St. Malachy wrote: “Glory of the olive.” Before the Pope was selected, some suggested a Benedictine would be elected because the order is sometimes referred to as the Olivetans, whose name ultimately derives from the Mount of Olives in the New Testament.

A Benedictine was not selected. However, upon his election as pontiff, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger chose the name Benedict after St. Benedict of Nursia, founder of the Benedictine Order.

St. Malachy described only one more Pope after Benedict, “Petrus Romanus” or “Peter the Roman.”

The Irish prophet wrote: “In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations; after which the seven-hilled city (Rome) will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people.”

Some believe the prophecy could foretell the destruction of the Church, or the world, and play into Christian prophecy as revealed in the book of Revelation which suggests a final battle between good and evil.

St. Malachy’s prophecies were first published in 1595 by a Benedictine historian.

According to a traditional account, Malachy was summoned to Rome by Pope Innocent II in 1139, and while there he purportedly experienced a vision of future Popes. He recorded the vision in his cryptic phrases and this manuscript was left in an archive and forgotten until its rediscovery in 1590.

A book published last year entitled “Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope Is Here,” by authors Cris Putnam and Tom Horn, detailed the Malachy prophecy and predicted that the current Pope would abdicate for health reasons, paving the way for the final Pope.

I'm sure most by now are occupied with the next big failed prediction.

The current pope isn't Roman and he hasn't taken the name of Peter.

He's Latin American and will take the name of Francis.

For those of you who get sucked into failed prophecy after failed prophecy, maybe you can take this as a chance to step back and reevaluate.

I would like to invite you to the March 23rd Mark of the Beast thread too on March 23rd to repeat the same thing.

There shouldn't be anything to reevaluate. Why would a Bible-believing Christian ever care about prophecies from catholic monks and Jesuit scribes? I never got this from the beginning of the Petrus Romanus craze. What next..Nostradamus?

After all, he made predictions. And his name sounds like Romanus.

Argentina's Cardinal Bergoglio Is The New Pope; He Will Be 'Francis'

The world's 1.2 billion Roman Catholics have a new spiritual leader, and for the first time is is someone from the Americas.
As afternoon turned to evening in Vatican City on Wednesday, a little after 7 p.m. local time, white smoke rose from a chimney above the Sistine Chapel and bells rang through St. Peter's Square — the traditional signals that the church's cardinals have chosen a new pope.
A little more than an hour later, his identity was announced: 76-year-old Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He comes from a region of the world with 483 million Catholics — about 40 percent of all the church's faithful. A Jesuit priest, he chose the name Francis — seen by some as a sign he wants to unite the church, because Franciscans have been traditional rivals of Jesuits.

I have heard the same thing.
Malachi Martin, a late 20th century catholic priest referenced it in at least one of his books. -
(Google him, I don't know the title)

Well, the truth should be in the puddin. The Malachy thing indicates after this pope will shepherd his people thru tribulation, the seven hilled city will be destroyed and/or the end will come.

Well...we'll have to wait and see on this one I guess. this is just me, but I never believed the pope would be the false prophet. I don't know how that came about. But, I don't see it.

I'll be honest, I was on the fence with it all. There did seem to be quite bit of correlation between each pope and their respective phrase. Nonetheless, trying to reconcile "Petrus Romanus" with "Francis I, from Argentina" is going to be the ultimate game of grasping for straws. It was a good run but it looks like it's a fake.

Maybe only a sliver of a chance that for some reason Francis doesn't get confirmed this week and then...Dun Dun Dun Dunnn.

Is Pope Francis "Petrus Romanus" or is he the "False Prophet".

by William Tapley, Third Eagle of the Apocalypse and Co Prophet of the End Times

About Third Eagle's Prophecies And Warnings

My title "Third Eagle of the Apocalypse" came to me when I asked God who was the "Eagle" as found in Revelation 8:13. He told me: "you are". Now, I should explain, I do not hear voices, but sometimes God gives prophecy to me by a revelation which I know comes not from my own thoughts but outside my mind. My title "Co Prophet of the End Times" means that I complete the end times prophecies of Daniel, Ezekiel, Esther, John and even of our Lord in the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24-25).

...

'Francis seems like a good man'
'not an anti-pope'

prophetic significance from Esther:

'Mordecai precursor of Pope Francis'
- appeals to
'Esther, who symbolizes Mary'
- who appeals to
'Ahasuerus, who symbolizes 'Jesus'

Mordecai dressed up in royal apparel - 13th of month - (a Fatima day?) - all the city rejoiced and was glad
Francis dressed up in St Peters - 03, 13, 2013 - (a Fatima day) - all the city rejoiced and was glad

~

mkay, that's all for now:rolleyes:
z

I hate to tell you guys this, but the new pope picked the name Francis in honor of Saint Francis, and St. Francis's full name is Francis of Peter the Roman.

Also, Argentina is technically an american country. It is SOUTH American.

it's just the Trotskyite dream of the 3 regions (totalitarian globalization) coming to pass.
Asia Pacific/the Americas/European continent - all Communitarian (which is a cover for something else)
this pope will play his role.

Speaking at the Sept. 23, 1994 United Nations Ambassadors' dinner, David Rockefeller remarked,

"This present window of opportunity, during which a truly peaceful and interdependent world order might be built, will not be open for too long."

"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order." 38

David founded the Council of the Americas 39 in 1965 with, "... like-minded business people founded the Council of the Americas based on the fundamental belief that free markets and private enterprise offer the most effective means to achieve regional economic growth and prosperity. Since that time, membership has grown to over 200 blue chip companies that represent the majority to the U.S. private investment in Latin America."

it'll be all about 'tolerance, biodiversity, overpopulation, total slavery, thought-crime.'...oh....we're there already.

Rockefeller Liberalism

2 Corinthians 11:4
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Although reportedly coming from Baptist roots, the Rockefellers were liberal in their theology, and were sympathetic to "higher criticism" of the Bible, replacing faith with an acceptance of modern sciences versions and interpretation of history, creation and so on. As seen by their grants to all manner of ecumenicalism and occultism, saying one is "Christian" does not mean one is. Being Baptist was and is not an indicator one is a "Christian" by any way, shape or means.

For example, The American Baptist Publication Society, in 1919 published "The New World Order" by Samuel Zane Batten.

In it, Batten declares, "...the new world rises upon our vision....We have vindicated the right of social control....There must be developed a national spirit of service....The natural resources of the nation must be socialized...The state must socialize every group...Men must learn to have world patriotism. World patriotism must be a faith....There is no more justice for the claim of absolute sovereignty on the part of a nation than on the part of an individual....The only alternative is World Federation...with a world parliament, an international court, and an international policy force...Men must have an international mind before there can be a world federation. They must see and affirm that above the nation is humanity. Internationalism must first be a religion before it can be a reality and a system." 46
