I've been annoyed lately, frustrated, and quite angry.
Finding that everyone around me who considers themselves a Christian, decides to hate their brothers and sisters instead of loving, supporting, and bringing them to Christ. Most, if not all of this is towards the Gay community.
In no way do I support their choices, but nor do I HATE them. They were created by God, saved by Jesus' Blood, and as Christians we are to love them, and bring them TO HIM. Not hate them, scare them away because we find their choices to be "disturbing". Forget about what YOU feel towards them for a second.. where in the bible does God say that He hates the person for sinning, He hates SIN.. but where does He say that He hates the sinner?

Then why do we think that we have that right to hate our brothers and sisters? We all were created by God, right? We all came from Adam and Eve, right? I don't understand it.. and you may call me a Hippy, nature lover.. Don't get me wrong, I am a Christian, but I do not support hatred. I do not support the calling out, screaming, and anti-gay rally's that have been going on. And the fact that we cannot seem to look at them as people created by our Creator, but... it seems like most people treat them like dirt.

I haven't heard people complain about thieves, liars, murders.. as much as I do about the gays. Where are the anti-sin protests? The anti-murder, anti-lying, anti-stealing groups? Do they sound too absurd? Why? They themselves ARE SIN.
Being gay is not the only thing in the bible in which God says that it's a sin. There are other things we need to worry about. And we will NOT bring anyone TO HIM by hating them.. Just my rant for the day.. lol

I think the reason we tend to get hung up on the issue of homosexuality over the other sins you mentioned is because there just aren't that many people who disagree that murder, lying, stealing is wrong. But being gay? A whole world of differing views on that.

Are you saying they are believers, for no one is saved by Jesus blood but believers in Jesus Christ's propitiation for their sin?

And if they are beieivers, they must give up the practice of homosexuality, just as alcoholics, thieves, idolators, adulterers, prostitutes, slanderers or swindlers must likewise give up their practices.

Just so we're clear on the Biblical view of habitual sin.

I was trying to state that if we bring them TO Him, Jesus died for all of us, and it is UP TO US to accept it, and it is up to us as believers to bring people to Him. We cannot or should not hate them.

Why? Sin is sin and should be treated like it. We should not hate them... :) And if people say we should.. Hate me. I have sinned. I've lied, I've stolen, I've cursed in the past.. Hate me for I have sinned. But we shouldn't.. that's not what we are here to do.

Just let us know if these "brothers and sisters" are people who practice a gay lifestyle and if you believe that a saved person lives in such sins.

God created everyone.. Why do they deserve the hatred? What about those who steal? They CHOOSE to steal! Liars choose to lie! Yet when people say they choose to be gay, they deserve the hate?

I want to know if you consider people who live an active gay lifestyle your "brothers and sisters" or not. That is to say if you mean they are saved or not?

Agreed.

But they are not saved until they believe in Jesus' propitiation for their sin.

So every person everywhere is your brother and sister? But did you know that not all people are the children of God? Some are the children of the devil. Being created by God does not make one a child of God, but regeneration (being born again) does. For me my brothers and sisters are the children of God only.

Right.. and as Christians we have the obligation to bring them to Him.. you can't expect a blind man to find himself home without help.

Then your being close minded and you dont really understand the bible .......we are to be the light in the darkness......God said love your neighbours as you love yourself, love your enemies, and overcome evil with good. How can you say you only have love for born agin belivers did God say that in the bible........he said pray one for another . If someone really wants deliverance from their sin we are the ones to encourage them through the holy spirit that is why people label us as hyprocites we have a form of godliness and no power to witness .......Im very saddened by your reply and I pray the wisdom of God and his understanding be imparted upon you in the name of jesus

Well sin is bad.And anyone that does that is building a wall between them and God. With Christ we can repent and be forgiven.

but the sin is wrong. I myself don't hate people, But I do hate bad things people do. But I'm not going to judge some one to hell. The Bible says God is the only Judge for choices like that .

I know the Bible has spoken, and declares being with the same sex a sin. So naturally I can't be for that . And if lawmakers are trying to pass laws, to make it okay, and easy to do that, then, that's bad. Being a Christian, i can't side with something or help people that God is against. Who should I listen to; God or should I make friends with the world?

I don't hate people, but I really don't like what they are doing though.

No ones perfect, that's why we have Christ. If some one is a Christian, and they are okay with living a life style like that with the same sex ,etc , then that's going to be their problem in the end,. Because the Bible says we cant continue living in sin, and expect to be okay in God's eyes; that's if the sin is habitual .. But i can't ever say, that what they are doing is okay, why ? because its not. Some people have a desire to want to change, and do that. Other rather continue doing what they like to do regardless .

I'm rambling, I like the people, I hate the sin they do. That sin is going to cause problems , naturally. If you know some one long enough, and who does that, its like an elephant in the room for a Christian that knows better anyway. But, Christ forgives that sin too, so once they repent and change they are forgiven and made like a new person.

Well, God does love.. but there's a difference between loving them and agreeing with them.. there's the love where you can care for them, but teach them.. that their ways aren't the best for them, and a sin to God. I think of it that way.. :)

I assume you are addressing me. If you want to criticize what I post, fine, but then please do criticize what I do write, not what I did not write. Otherwise there is no way to take your critique as anything else than personal attack or trolling. You claim that I said that I only love born again believers. This is not true. I said I only count born again believers as my brothers and sisters.

Well, I'm for what you said, here... I'm against shutting down people where we cant even talk , or interact with them.

On the other hand some people can tend to be weak around sin, and the danger is that, thinking we can't be effected by the sin, so then falling into that sin themselves.. Because bad company is the ruin of good spiritual character. So we shouldn't hang out , in their circles .
I mean is we should be able to talk; & not shut them out completely .Otherwise they are not going to have any reasonable advice around them , most likely .

...How does one sin generate so much hate, yet it's acceptable to love those who steal? Some thieves never change.. But we are to bring them TO HIM.
