See, That's what I'm talking about. This is a good example of how the ignore option (the way I explained how it should be) could be used. Sometimes those types of people tend to harass you. They begin to post in every one of your threads and explain how you're "wrong" or they could even inbox you multiple times if they wanted to.
at that time you should report them because they are stalking you.

forward/report the pms if they continue to contact you even if you ask them to STOP.

the mods will warn them and if they continue, report them and they will be banned.

This is simply My opinion - if you disagree, I'm Sorry. Just Please don't start an argument or anything like that because some of us have some anger issues.
lol... sorry that made me smile. I wonder how many arguments could be avoided we could just read each others warning labels:

Caution: explosive tempers, Volatile. Do not shake.

I think its a good idea but hard to program and implement.

Perhaps God is using that person to teach us patience?

Unfortunately, in open forums, it's all but impossible to hide from the troublesome. Obviously, some of us are more sensitive than others about how people respond to what we post. Here are some things to consider:

1. Think through what you're about to post and how people might respond.
2. Be prepared to apologize to those who might be legitimately offended by what you post.
3. Be prepared to ignore those who maliciously try to offend you.
4. PM those whose opinions you trust in matters that might be too inflammatory to post publicly. Just saw Ariel82 mention a group option. That would be even better. I need to learn more about the options here. :)

If someone is personally attacking/harassing you, please report them.
But please provide evidence. Like links, forwards of their personal forum mail.
Please don't say, "Well just go look at their posts."

Chances are the person has hundreds of posts, and chances are I don't have the time to read them all. And if I were to actually read them all, and didn't find harassment, but instead found someone you were mad at because they disagreed with you, well..I'd be upset at the effort spent and time lost. So giving evidence is a must!

Also understand that we're trying to allow for a good balance of give and take for back and forth in the forums. We could allow for less of a generous give and take, but then we'd hear complaints about "all the bans", and how "I'm afraid to say anything at all because those mods get after me for everything!". In other words, some of the heat you see in the kitchen is because we're trying to allow for a balanced give and take within the forums.

Like always, the most charming part of dialog with you is the empty part. My favorite part of this post was.

Ah, well, not really. They may not be able to read the thread you created, but they are still able to read all the response threads. And still can derail the thread without ever seeing the original post. Or if someone quotes the original post the problem person can still see it that way. Ignore does not work on quotes.
... or by viewing the website without logging in.

I currently have 40 people on ignore in the forums. I still dont understand why we cant have an ignore user function in the chat rooms. There a few individuals in chat that would be on ignore if i had the option to do so, It would cut down on a lot of drama as well. I have debated donating money to this sight, but why should i give my hard earned money and have to come to chat and put up with some jerk being stupid and cant put him on ignore

I'll save the mods the time of answering this.
I have read, perhaps in this thread? I'm not sure which. That there is already consideration of upgrading the chats, and that would include an ignore feature.
But, to go along with that is the same thing they always say, 'if you want to see changes made, fund them'. You're wanting things how you want them before you pay, they're saying 'if you want things your way, pay so we can change it'. Not that everyone gets what they ask for, but you get the point.
