The way he performs live reminds me of a chick named KT Tunstall...doing all the little instrument parts herself.

ZAOMAN, i just saw your post in the 5 things thread. haha.. i was surprised to see anyone name me. So, as a reward, here's a black metal vid, your probably already know the band, but hey, its a cool song, and i'm taking a risk at getting it removed and getting in trouble, even though its Christian. Lyrics in the video are worth reading if you haven't already..

Disclaimer: If you aren't an extreme Christian metal fan, avoid this video, haha

Pretty cool man! Thanks for sharing that. I wish this had been around when I was 16-17 yrs old...man,stuff like this would have really impressed me. BTW...I would have named you in the 5 things, but I didn't want to be mocked. lol
If anyone tries to get you banned or remove this video I will go to bat for you...this IS a metal/industrial thread...don't come here if this stuff offends. RIGHT??? as a one time unsaved Dave Mustaine said..."whaddya mean I ain't kind? just not yer' kind."

Man...Ugly just reminded me I need some Frost Like Ashes and Deborah. I just got a crap ton of christian extreme metal though and I need to play major catch up, haha. Also, does anyone else think it's wicked awesome that Mustaine and Ellefson are christians now? From what I've seen and heard it's pretty legit too.

So as I mentioned I got a ton of new metal. One of the albums is by a band called Armath Sargon, and I'll be honest, I think it's WAY underrated and overlooked. It's probably my favorite in the batch. Couldn't find anything off the album I have, but here's a little taste.

itorethesky - haha, not so worried about the music as the lyrics are pretty hardcore in that song. in an awesome way of course.

zaoman - the Mustaine thing has always been questionable. I hear him proclaim it, but then not really act it out, or even follow through in his words. Maybe somethings changed since i last heard, but for years most people questioned it.
From what i hear of Ellefson its more legit.

Hmm... lets make a list of secular turned Christian metal/etc musicians..
Alice Cooper (actually said he always considered himself Christian, just got caught up in the rock thing)
Brian Head Welch - Korn
James Munky Schaffer - Korn
Blackie Lawless - WASP
Ron Rineheart - Dark Angel (vocals)
Joshua Brown - Full Devil Jacket
Peter Criss - Kiss (drums)
Dan Spitz - Anthrax (guitar)
Dave Ellefson - Megadeth
Dave Mustaine? - Megadeth
Nicko McBrain - Iron Maiden (drums)
John Davis - Superdrag
Supposedly one of the members of Bleeding Through was a Christian when they first came out. Never sure how valid that was.

Bushwick Bill - Geto Boys (ok its rap)
Mr. Del - Three 6 Mafia (more rap)
MC Jin - rapper

I know there's more.. but its 830 am

I didn't know Munkey from Korn got saved...I can't believe you missed Fieldy! One of the best bassists ever, and also a christian now...It makes me wonder if God has a price on Jonathon Davis's head...I didn't know about the guy from three6mafia either.

I know Mustaine has refused to do particular Megadeth songs live...and a band they were supposed to tour with dropped out because he said something about them being satanists and that it was wrong or something like that. I don't know, I just like Megadeth and I'm glad they at least have some Jesus in their band.

Yeah, not my thing. But the mythological references and lyrics are very cool. Love how they do the musical equivalent of tearing down pagan idols in the name of Christ.

I knew a few of those ppl had at least attempted to give their lives to Christ, that's a big list though, with a bunch of names I had no idea about. It's too bad it's not a bit more well known to the general public, but I guess the media finds it more interesting to report when a musician dies from a drug overdose or bites the head of a dove...never emphasize anything good that happens in their lives.lol So Jonathan Davis is the only one (other than the original drummer) now who's holding out of Jesus,eh?

This makes me want to cry from joy...

Seriously though, I used to LOVE Amon Armath, I thought the whole lyrical content about vikings and Nordic gods was a pretty cool take on fantasy metal, and then I noticed a name to one of their older songs about the trinity which I can't repeat, and watched a documentary on BM and found out what the whole idea of songs about Nordic gods were...and this song just reinforced that for me.

It also reminds me of this song, "Titans, behold your god"
