Ok ladies , I seen this and this spoke to me and I just wanted to share it ...
There is a difference between a Christian man & a man of God.
A Christian guy says he loves you , but a man God will love God more than you .
A Christian guy might text you bible verses or have a tattoo of them, but a man of God will live out those verse and have them written on his heart .
A Christian guy might go to church but a man of God will see that his highest calling is to give Christ glory .
A Christian guy might accidently compromise your virtue , but a man of God will protect it above all else .
A Christian guy might be super attractive , but a man of God will have a beautiful heart regardless of his looks ..
A Christian guy might take you out , but a man of God will hold you up before God in his prayers .
Don't settle just for a Christian guy , And long to be the kind of woman who will attract a man of God like that !!!

Can I have both?

Well, i call myself a Christian, not a man of God, so i guess i'm not worth having in your eyes. And i may not be living up to all those 'man of God' concepts. I am an imperfect human still struggling with myself, my sins and my weaknesses and i fail in my walk, and fail others. So i guess I'm the cheap copy and apparently have nothing to offer unless someone wants to 'settle' for the lesser. Thanks for the great, uplifting post! Good to know perfection is what women want, and us lowly guys who get up daily and struggle and push and fight and suffer in the name of maintaining their faith are 2nd best and not worth having.

I don't really understand half of these. I think it was posted in sincerity and I think you're trying to make a distinction between those who are talking the talk and those who are walking the walk, but what you posted does a really terrible job of it, imo.

There is a difference between a Christian man & a man of God.

There really shouldn't be, unless he is a Christian in name only.

A Christian guy says he loves you , but a man God will love God more than you .

Can't he love you and love God more at the same time?

A Christian guy might text you bible verses or have a tattoo of them, but a man of God will live out those verse and have them written on his heart .

Couldn't one do both?

A Christian guy might go to church but a man of God will see that his highest calling is to give Christ glory .

I really don't get this one. So somehow there's a conflict between going to church and giving God glory?

A Christian guy might accidentally compromise your virtue, but a man of God will protect it above all else .

Not really sure what "accidentally compromise" means... if its implying what I think it is, no Christian should be doing that. How about you? Where are you in this "compromise of virtue" dynamic? I seem to recall a Proverbs verse about a virtuous woman being priceless. In fact, the first line of defense is always going to be the woman.

A Christian guy might be super attractive , but a man of God will have a beautiful heart regardless of his looks ..

Well, I actually think this one is good, in that it reminds us to focus on the heart and not the outside.

A Christian guy might take you out , but a man of God will hold you up before God in his prayers .

Once again, I don't see the conflict between taking a woman out and "holding you up" before God.

Like I said, I think you're trying to make a distinction between false Christians and true ones, but this little snippet you posted does a really poor job of that.

Tell me why she's ALWAYS going to be the first line of defense. And don't spout any of that nonsense about a man not being able to deny himself.

Well, i think you misunderstood her post. Shes not saying these are contradictions, shes saying a 'christian' man will 'only do these things', but a 'man of God' will take it further by taking things farther. Instead of JUST texting and tattooing he will take it farther and...

Or the 'love God more than you' i think you didn't read the line clearly. She didn't say 'can't love both' she said 'love God MORE than you'. More stating that he will love the woman, but love God more than the woman.

So all her points are not 'one or the other' but 'doesn't stop here, but takes it to the next level'.

A man of God is a person who has dedicated his life to serve God’s will and God’s plans and who stands for the word of God . Any man who loves Christ truly and has dedicated himself for the service of the Lord can be a man of God. A man of God need not necessarily be a pastor, or an evangelist or missionary etc.

A Christian guy who lives an ordinary lifestyle but tries his best to live according to what God has taught him through Word of God is also a man of God. We serve God by obeying what He says .A man of God will guard the word of God under all circumstances and bring Glory to God. The Levites stood for God and God choose them to be His priests.

Ugly has stated the obvious here, as he has on many similar posts...A woman sitting around waiting and desiring that "perfect man of God". It's not going to happen. That's no excuse to not try to be a man of God of course, but the fact is, we're human, we mess up. How do you think it makes a man feel to be chastised by something like this, which comes up regularly on this forum? Isn't a virtuous woman supposed to hold her husband up? If you're not married, but you believe you will be, then you should be doing everything in your power to be in support of guys because one of these days one of those guys your defending, could be your husband, if your knocking him down and discouraging him now, what does that say about how he'll be treated when you're married? And if you don't plan on being married, you have no business whatsoever making a post like this.

Some of the responses to this post highlight a problem many find when they are trying to present a positive point. And it's a problem I've contributed to myself, so I'm not just trying to point fingers. Someone presents a post to make a positive point and some people lash out with anger and hurt because they take offense.

In this case, I'd give the OP the benefit of the doubt and not assume she's expecting perfection, but someone who truly loves God and isn't just pretending to do so by calling themselves a Christian. And I wouldn't assume she's holding men to a different standard than that which she would live up to.

It would be too much to expect everyone to respond positively. As I've stated, I can't claim to do that myself. But we should try not to allow our personal pain or insecurities provoke us to say hurtful things to those who wish to express their feelings with good intentions.

God Bless!

Christian men need respect, ladies, and in my experience, the more respect you afford a guy, the more he will rise to the occasion. It's just amazing to see. :)

That said, I get what the OP is trying to say...I think?
Nominal 'christianity' vs the Real Deal.

What is a real man?
What is a real man? Very good question, we can start with Jesus Christ, who is the epitome of real manhood, and an example to all, men, women and children, He came to earth as a lowly servant, was scorned, mocked and tortured for telling the truth, calling sinners to repent or perish, to deny self, pick up their cross, and follow Him, to stand fast, to abstain from all appearances of evil, to be holy as He is holy, to be perfect as His father in heaven is perfect, to obey Him if you love Him, and come out from the world and its vain attractions.
I could go on with many, many more commands Jesus proclaimed IN His short ministry, but you get the point I am trying to make.
A real man or woman doesn't blame God for his sins, by proclaiming he cannot stop His vile sins because he was born a poor sinner, or they believe Jesus took their place , and became their righteousness as the false teachers sells to the gullible masses(Billy Graham, Erwin Lutzer, Ed Young,) the list is endless, and those who think they are saved forever since they proclaimed a prayer years ago in their church, thus they are now covered because they confessed they were a sinner, and received Jesus into their heart, are not real men or women of God.
Jesus said the road is narrow, and few of the few will find it and be willing to count the cost of following Him the rest of their lives weather single or married.
Jesus said we must strive and agonize to enter into the kingdom, because many will try, and few will be able to!
A real follower of Christ has crucified his/her flesh once and for all in real repentance, see Gal 2-20 and 2 Corin 7-10-11, and now follows Jesus cleansed and purified in His heart and mind, putting to death the deeds of the body, cutting all known willful sin off at the roots, he then takes this message out to the lost masses and false churches, proclaiming truth at all cost, which will get him hated, mocked, kicked out of any false church for preaching the truth, and labeled a Pharisee, demon, and nut case!
few are willing to count the cost of denying self, and following Jesus on the narrow path, and this doesn't mean attending church a couple of times a week, doing some good deeds in the ministry, then living any way you please the rest of the time, indulging in the pleasures of the world, with no fire and urgency for the truth that has been long lost through the reformation that took the narrow way, and made it the broad way, and making men of God conform to many false teachings, perverting the purity of the message according to godliness handed down from the saints of old before the denominations got a hold of the gospel, and added in their not of obedience and faith, not of heart purity, and Jesus is their covering. Because if they had to obey from their heart, and this obedience to the commands of God determined their final salvation, then they would fall away, claim works, its not of works, when James clearly stated faith(obedience)without works was dead!
You could have a whole laundry list of good works, staying away from porn, drinking, fornication, adultery, etc, but still be defiled in your heart because you follow a lie that says you were born a sinner, with the sin disease and Jesus is the remedy, thus your abstaining from sin is just a good thing to do, but not mandatory for your final salvation.
A real man or woman will stand firm in the truth, not what is being taught today in most churches and ministries where you get saved in your sins, Jesus feels sorry for you, and declares you a poor helpless sinner saved by grace, and grace to most is a covering for willful deliberate sin, not teaching us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, as Titus 2-11 says.
Jesus came to be our example of what a real man is, He didn't come to be our substitute, but to be our strength, and to set us free once and for all from the bondage's of sin and worldliness!
Real men and women follow His example, calling all to repent and obey Him, not confess, and trust He did it all for you!
Few will find this message appealing, many will write it off and hearsay and worse.
I urge you all to dig deep into the word, and what the early church taught compared to today, and you will see real men and women of God lived a holy and separated life unto the Lord, in great persecution and hated by the religious for standing firm for the truth and living a holy, separate and a peculiar life pleasing to their creator, where obedience from the heart was a final factor in their salvation!
A Saint or an aint?

Joh 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Either you are one or the other, no such things as a sinning saint! A saint is walking in the present tense with Christ, being obedient, pure in heart and deed, and listening to His voice, then they follow Him on the narrow road. Luke 9-23. A real saint as described in the Bible has crucified his flesh with Christ, Galatians 2-20, once and for all, hence I have been crucified, and thus they now walk in newness of life, 2 Corinthians 5-17. Cleansed and purified of all willful sin, through a real repentance and faith. 2 Corinthians 7-10-11. They must remain diligent and faithful to the truth, obey from the heart, and keep themselves undefiled from the world and its false ways! 1 John 2-15-17.

Tell me why she's ALWAYS going to be the first line of defense...

Because it's her body. She's the only one that's gonna be around 24/7 to guard it.

For centuries, women were always the "gatekeepers", so to speak. It's only been relatively recently with the 60's revolution and the feminist movement that they were encouraged to relax their guard. It's not like the 60's occurred and suddenly men wanted to get with women; it was targeted completely at making women think promiscuity was okay.

Furthermore, men are always going to be the more aggressive gender, and if you have un-Christian men making advances when a Christian man isn't around, it's always going to fall upon the woman to see what she's made of.

Isn't this stuff kind of obvious?

I understand where you're coming from, so don't get me wrong, and I mean absolutely no offense. But seeing a woman post something like this, to me, is akin to a wife who thinks she's trying to help and is just coming off naggy. Her intent is not to be that way of course, and she genuinely does want to help, but I know from experience that no amount of telling myself otherwise will make it seem less naggy.

It's easy to misinterpret this as the same thing, especially with as many posts as there have been made on this issue. The best way a woman can help encourage a man, is not to tell him how he should be, but compliment him on his good, and encourage him to keep it up.

all these just nag Zao its all about sharing a dark guinness!after that it all works out!
