This is a variation on the old 'Why doesn't god end the suffering in the third world' type question.

Did god afflict the famine in the first place?

Why haven't these people evolved like ours and pulled themselves out of their situation?

Why are they having kids knowing full well they will probably die before they make it to 4 years old?

Is it down to us to financially aid them even though we have sent over 900 million pounds to them already and nothing has improved?

God isn't helping them and our financial aid isn't scratching the surface.

Are they doomed people? Are their only purpose of existence is to remind us how fortunate we are?

What would it take to end their suffering?

Straightener,
If you are trying to poke holes in our faith, it won't work. Are you posting all these threads to get real answers or to try to undermine faith? If you are doing the latter, you are wasting your time. If you want to get at Truth, then say so, but you need to be receptive to it.

I am most certainly not trying to poke holes in your faith or undermine you. I see alot is wrong with the world and Im interested in a second, and opposite opinion to mine.

I came here for different reasons first, I now realise that you are all very capable of giving reasonable and intelligent answers and I'm now taking advantage of that fact by asking every question that's ever bothered me. At no point is any offence or disrespect intended.

Great! OK, then you are absolutely welcome, and I apologize for thinking otherwise about you.

Uneducated and ignorant people having doomed babies they should not have in the first place and corrupt peole not allowing enough money to filter down to where it's needed.

Walking 10 miles a day to get water? Why not just move the village closer to the water?

It's horrible watching the kids suffering. I don't blame God on this one. I blame the parents and I blame us for not educating these people properly. All we do is send over a few b list celebrities and throw food at them. We ain't helping at all.

I just wondered if there was a religious explanation.

sin has blinded people from the needs of others and the wisdom needed for the world to live in harmony and peace.

Things are the way they are because we ourselves have done this to us. We are slaves to a system of merchandise that we created to rule over us. Now people may read this and laugh. They may dismiss this as so many other posts I write, but the truth is we have NO LOVE for one another!

Money. What is it really for? There are 18 million empty homes in america and only 3 million homeless. You don't have to be a math wizard to figure out that it's about SIX HOMES FOR EVERY ONE HOMELESS PERSON TO CHOOSE FROM! We are ABUNDANT now in anything an individual may want under the sun. Now tell me again about a dead dollar of a crumbling economic system and how they should work harder to achieve one of those six homes they may choose from at those astronomical prices!

That's the same answer that pharaoh gave moses and that's why we are in this situation. And that's why we are plagued to this day.
