Ayman Zawahiri, leader of Islamic Jihad and effective number two leader of al-Qaeda, travels to Chechnya with two associates. His associates are Ahmad Salama Mabruk, head of Islamic Jihad’s cell in Azerbaijan, and Mahmud Hisham al-Hennawi, a well-traveled militant. Chechnya was fighting to break free from Russian rule and achieved a cease-fire and de facto independence earlier in the year (see August 1996).
Zawahiri hopes to establish new connections there. However, on December 1, 1996, he and his associates are arrested by Russian authorities as they try to cross into Chechnya. Zawahiri is carrying four passports, none showing his real identity. The Russians confiscate Zawahiri’s laptop and send it to Moscow for analysis, but apparently they never translate the Arabic documents on it that could have revealed who he really is.
Though some Russian investigators suspect Zawahiri is a “big fish,” they can’t prove it. He and his two associates are released after six months. [WALL STREET JOURNAL, 7/2/2002; WRIGHT, 2006, PP. 249-250] Later in December 2006, Canadian intelligence learns that Marbuk at least is being held. They know his real identity, but apparently do not share this information with Russia (see December 13, 1996-June 1997).
Author Lawrence Wright will later comment, “This fiasco had a profound consequence. With even more defectors from [Islamic Jihad during Zawahiri’s unexplained absence] and no real source of income, Zawahiri had no choice but to join bin Laden” in Afghanistan.
Prior to this arrest, Zawahiri had been travelling all over the world and earlier in 1996 he apparently lived in Switzerland and Sarajevo, Bosnia. But afterwards he remains in Afghanistan with bin Laden until the 9/11 attacks. As a result, Islamic Jihad and al-Qaeda will grow even closer until they completely merge a few months before 9/11 (see June 2001).

I'll address your first point above.
Firstly you do not quote the verse correctly which shows me you either do not verify what you put into the public domain or you are a bit dishonest. I am thinking the latter because I have found people who use the label taqqiya as an excuse to disregard what has been stated to be dishonest. Prove me wrong by actually telling me what I said was wrong rather than just disregarding it. That is how debating works.
[Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip."
There was no "I will" as you would have hoped it would have been. The message was not to the Muslims but to the angels that helped the Muslims who were out numbered 3 to 1 by a better equipped unit in the battle of Badr.
Being a Christian you would know God has asked his angels to do some heavy acts. Here is no different. Did you notice it said to strike off the finger tips. In forensic medicine what are the finger tips used for ?

Let alone a 1400 year history of it. Including the Mufti of Jerusalem joining hands with Hitler. There was even an Islamic panzer division in Hitler's army. I don't know how the Malaysians have translated it, but I have found that on average Muslims I have chatted with prefer the more sanitized Yusuf Ali version of the Quran:

Just look at what happened after Umar Al Khattab when he liberated Jerusalem, he allowed the Jewish people back into Jerusalem. The temple mount area was used as a rubbish dump.
The Treaty of Umar allowed the Christians of Jerusalem religious freedom, as is dictated in the Quran and the sayings of Muhammad ﷺ. This was one of the first and most significant guarantees of religious freedom in history. While there is a clause in the treaty regarding the banning of Jews from Jerusalem, its authenticity is debated. One of Umar’s guides in Jerusalem was a Jew named Kaab al-Ahbar. Umar further allowed Jews to worship on the Temple Mount and the Wailing Wall, while the Byzantines banned them from such activities. Thus, the authenticity of the clause regarding Jews is in question.
After the first crusade every man , women and child whether they were Jewish or Muslims were butchered.
After the second crusade when the Muslims regained Jerusalem people were free to stay or leave.
With Jerusalem secure, Saladin summoned Jews to resettle in the city, and Jews form the large settlement in Ashkelon responded to his request.

Jews fleeing the Spanish Inquisition fled to Islamic lands where they were welcome. One place was Alleppo.
In the late 15 th Century King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella wed, uniting the kingdoms of Castille and Aragon. It wasn’t long before they took back the last remaining Moorish Kingdom of Granada in the south. Devout Christians, the King and Queen could not tolerate non-believers in their kingdom. It was in the Alhambra that their edict expelling the Jews from Christian Spain in 1492 was signed. Jews had to convert to Christianity or leave the country.
Jews who left Spain fled mainly to the Islamic countries that bordered the Mediterranean Sea. They went to Italy, North Africa, Palestine and to the area we now know as Syria, which was controlled by the Ottoman Empire and whose rulers welcomed the Jews with open arms. Some went to Portugal, but were later expelled.

The prophesy of a war between Jews and Muslims does not state who will start the war but by the way Israel is keen on bombing Iran, it may well eventuate. I can't see it starting from the Muslim side, Muslims are too weak. The prophecy indicates that the Earth itself will have enough of the corruption and reveal Jewish position.

I am having trouble operating in more than one section with my other things going on. I just now found this.
That's an interesting point. And it would seem disrespectful, but unimportant, because Jesus built our temple in three days, just as He prophesied, through His crucifixion death and resurrection.
John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21 But he spake of the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
In the Christian era God's people are the temple of God.
1Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

And it seems that God arranged to have that temple thrown down - every stone - just as Jesus prophesied:
Matthew 24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
The book of Luke also details that "these things" are "goodly stones and gifts".
And in Mark "manner of stones and what buildings [are here]".Just as Jesus prophesied, the temple was thrown down - every stone - in 70 AD, and the rubble remains to this day as the photo details.
Thus illuminating the one way to salvation in this Christian era.

I mounted it and came to the Temple (Bait Maqdis in Jerusalem), then tethered it to the ring used by the prophets. I entered the mosque and prayed two rak'ahs in it, and then came out and Gabriel brought me a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk.
Since even you understand that the temple mount was a garbage dump, at the time that Muhammad claims to have prayed in the temple of the prophets - 500 years after it had been torn down - how do you explain Muhammad's claim?

That's an interesting point. And it would seem disrespectful, but unimportant, because Jesus built our temple in three days, just as He prophesied, through His crucifixion death and resurrection.
John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21 But he spake of the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
In the Christian era God's people are the temple of God.
1Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
Ephesians 2:19Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner [stone]; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
And it seems that God arranged to have that temple thrown down - every stone - just as Jesus prophesied:
Matthew 24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
The book of Luke also details that "these things" are "goodly stones and gifts".
And in Mark "manner of stones and what buildings [are here]".Just as Jesus prophesied, the temple was thrown down - every stone - in 70 AD, and the rubble remains to this day as the photo details.
Thus illuminating the one way to salvation in this Christian era.

You see, my friend, the reason you believe Muhammad's tall tale about riding on a flying donkey-mule, is the same reason you reject all of the prophets and witnesses of the New Testament the whole subject of the Gospel, which is the same reason that Muslims kiss the black stone in Mecca. That sole reason is because of something Muhammad said or did.

Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 228: Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The sights which Allah's Apostle was shown on the Night Journey when he was taken to Bait-ul-Maqdis (i.e. Jerusalem) were actual sights, (not dreams). And the Cursed Tree (mentioned) in the Quran is the tree of Zaqqum (itself).

We can get into a vicious cycle where we start highlighting to each other what certain members of the other's religion have done or are currently up to and state this is your religion. All that results is the athiests sit back and laugh at us. Why don't we rise above this pettiness and just concentrate on the religion not its members.
