Hello everyone (or everyone who will read this). I am struggling with many things in life. But a major one is this. I cannot find a kind caring loving body of believers. I hate this. No one cares about me. But I know that many people experience this. It seems obvious to me that we are living in the Laodicean Church age. A book by Ray Steadman (God's Final Word: A Commentary on the Book of Revelation) is the first place I have learned that the letters to the churches were actually prophecies about the different ages of the future church. The last letter written was to the church in Laodicea. I have just read the Message translation of these verses, and it seems very appropriate to copy/past it here.
Revelation 3:15-17 says, “I know you inside and out, and find little to my liking. You’re not cold, you’re not hot—far better to be either cold or hot! You’re stale. You’re stagnant. You make me want to vomit. You brag, ‘I’m rich, I’ve got it made, I need nothing from anyone,’ oblivious that in fact you’re a pitiful, blind beggar, threadbare and homeless."
Does that sound like the church for anyone else?
I absolutely do not find love in the Church that Jesus died for. Please share your opinion with me. Maybe someone could even share love as well.
