a born again christian DOES NOT go to hell for suicide... suicide is a sin of disobedience. Some people lose hope or are harrassed by the enemy into dispair. Some sins are reparable some are not... like abortion, murder, suicide... Jesus died for forgiveness of those sins too.

If you are in God. you do not think about suicide. you want to live for others live like you!
For a person thinking about suicide her mind is already contaminated by the evil.
nobody kills themselves by pleasure, just to be happy, NO!, but They kill themselves because they are suffering from sickness in the soul.

I am sure Suicide is exactly what Devil targets for u. If u succumb then u let him win and the strength of Christ in u goes in vain. His sacrifice for His life to give us eternal life also will have no meaning. Once we accept Jesus as our savior, we are no more to be for ourselves, but we belong unto Him.

As has been said already, suicide is murder, but Jesus died for that too. It is not for us to judge the heart of someone who is suicidal. There are many reasons to commit suicide, and God forbid any of us should go there... But we do. We go there just like people run to drugs, alcohol, anger, lust, or self-righteousness. One may be more final than another, but it is not worse.
Unless you have been at a place where you can't see another way out, beware of any judgement you pass. Even then, there are 10,000 more reasons that people lean towards suicide for.
Suicide doesn't send you to hell. What leads you to suicide is hell on earth. Is it right, no? But God is a God of compassion. He will not break a bruised reed.

Yeah I agree, there is only one judge who makes the decision. My interpretation is my understanding of what The word of God says. Our motive is to show the right path as per the word alone. As mentioned in 2nd Tim 1:7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. This directs me to say, that for people who are looking forward to suicide should take strength from God's spirit. I pray they find their right solution as per the word.

You are correct, but walk one day in the shoes of a suicidal person and then see how your heart changes. To say that is truth, but its also like staring in the face of a heroine addict and saying "just stop." It's not that simple.

To conclude myself i share the same compassion for them as u. Hence, In light of the word, i cud encourage them to live on by the word of God alone. God bless u.

Hi Gad,

Suicide can be termed as 'an act of immense desperation caused by a person not havng a solution to a particular huge problem or not wanting to act on it though having a solution.' It could also mean not having the means necessary to act for a problem that is clinging to him. But yes, contemplating suicide is a sin. Thoughts give birth to feelings and which gives rise to emotions and if a person's faith is not lined up with God's word, then he will pave a way to his human emotions and thus a strong decision to perform the last act of desperation which is suicide. Suicide is immense fear which is opposite to 'faith.' God created man, so man has no right to take his own life. There are people out there without parents and without elders, but also there are people out there to adopt people's problems and offer them solutions. And every solution is available in God's word to life's problems.

Not true. And statements like this only make it worse for a suicidal person. Christians don't realize how damaging they can be sometimes. If you are in God, you don't lust. You don't steal. You don't murder in your heart (hate), you don't kill, you don't hurt others, you don't have affairs, look at porn, envy, etc etc etc. Guess what though, Christians struggle with ALL of those. Everyones demons are different and everyone has their problems. When you become a Christian, you are not perfect yet. Your struggles don't just vanish and life is apple pie.

So how dare you to claim a person who thinks of suicide is not of God! And think, if a suicidal person is in emotional distress and feeling hopeless already, and maybe the only hope they cling to is God... but then someone says a suicidal person is not of God... what hope do they have left? It's an emptiness you cannot imagine and only brings them lower.

Suicide is definitely something that should be talked about more in church. So sick of so many ignorant Christians on this subject. There are deep complicated reasons that lead a person to suicide. Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. And no one is more poor in spirit than those on the brink of suicide.

I don't agree with this...

I'm sorry, but to say there's nothing worse than suffering in hell to someone who's asking about suicide, is the worst possible thing to say. Christ came to save us from suffering, not to give us more suffering. Such an approach drives people away from God, for it misrepresents Him. It makes Him look like a God without compassion, not as one who sent His only son to save us from despair.
Yes i believe hells exists so I want to saves lives and discourage suicide 100% I struggled with that many years ago but im glad im alive I want to encourage life.

Jesus did not talk about hell in the way you're talking about hell, that is, eternal torture. Sheol=meaning, the grave-- was translated into the word ''hell'. Hades, also translated into the word ''hell'' was the Greek world for the underworld. Sheol was translated into Hades in Greek, because that was their only word for the grave-- before it was again translated into the English word "hell". Tartarus, also translated into the English word "hell" means a deep abyss where the angels are chained until the final judgement. Tartarus is only used once when specifically referring to the angels chained in darkness. Gehenna, also translated into the word hell, is a garbage dump outside of Jerusalem where the bodies of animals and criminals were thrown and burned. The worm was said to never die there because there were always dead carcasses there. I can hardly imagine those worms were immortal, or that there was any place where immortal worms lived. The fires were said to never go out in Gehenna because they were always kept burning to keep down the smell.

Jesus talked about hell in the sense that He didn't want people to PERISH, but to have everlasting life. Again, he came to give us life. He said, "follow me and I will give you eternal life." In other words, you don't already have eternal life, you get that from following Me. The Bible does not say, "Whosoever believesin him shall not suffer eternal torment, it says "Whosoever believes in me shall not PERISHbut have eternal life."

For the one contemplating suicide here, Jesus came, suffered, and died on the cross so that you might LIVE with Him forever. Yes, He means for you to LIVE, not die. And since he's the only person who ever lived on this earth who deserves to get exactly what He wants, give Him what He died for-- your life lived forever with Him. The love He bears for you is beyond your comprehension.

Read a few others. The truth in the Bible doesn't just consist of one verse. You have to take them all. If not, you'll find them contradicting each other. It's amazing how people only see the one or two verses that seem to support their view, but disregard all the others. What can I saw? That's Christianity today.

Exactly, context is key. I love cherries but cherry-picking verses is bad form.
