"Great is the mystery of godliness," that alone should help us through faith, by His grace, remove all doubt of His Love for us in life now, before we accepted Him even, He was there. I love the song we sing in church, 'He was there all the time.' It has brought many up to the altar in the past, to choose Him, hearing Him, first, having chosen them, knowing this truth: "That none should perish."
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
12Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
13You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
This is a great mystery here, that we can know by following Him, we will see Him work in mysterious ways by this kind of faith shown above in Him. We will gain Christ (Phil. 3:8)
There is a great, wonderful blessing in this kind of faith:
7But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in [SUP]a[/SUP] Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. 10I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
12Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
There is mystery in this kind of godliness, too:
Patient, young child, milady, find your patience in Him
1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. But
godliness with contentment is great gain.
... Yet true
godliness
with contentment is itself great wealth.,\
And:
Phil 4:12 and 13 - what did Paul say was how he knew to be content? It's no mystery, really :
"I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Christ's (Holy Spirit) strength in us, that is the secret
More godliness mystery:
"Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory."
God bless you for coming on here, keep on keeping on, fighting for Him, milady, don't ever stop doing that, you will be faced with times of doubt, but that's where His faith given you is strong enough, His grace is sufficient to help you through whatever is your 'thorn in your side.' "Greater is He who is in you than he (Satan) who is in the world.'
Our God reigns. Our God reigns. Our God reigns. Our God reigns, with His 'great' godliness
Sounds like a song, doesn't it. Ah, yes, how lovely are the mountains at the feet of Him. Our God reigns....... He brought good news, Good News. Praise Him. Praise Him. Praise Him, never stop praying to Him, never stop giving Him thanks, all three, Praise, prayer, thanks be to God, and, glory, all glory to Him
(1 Thessalonians 5)
