I just don't take Genesis literally, I think it was inspired into fallible minds that interpreted the concepts with the comprehension they could muster. They didn't know about other galaxies, I think it would have come to them as conceptual revelations rather than word for word. Concepts they just couldn't quite grasp.

I have a couple issues with this post.
First why do people presume to know the will of God? Maybe evolution IS in fact Gods plan. Scientists can explain both a million/billions of years old earth and others can explain a 5-10 thousand year old earth. But no one can explain anything conclusively to my limited knowledge. This debate seems fruitless as no one is capable of knowing Gods mind and will. We as Christians believe in the bible but that is not to say we know the will of the Almighty God as that would be a blasphemy.
Secondly and IMHO more importantly does it matter? Where in any commandment or law does it say "thou shalt believe in the literal or figurative interpretation of the Genesis account." If someone believes in evolution AND our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ won't they still be with us in His kingdom?? Saying they are bad Christians or have weak faith because they think differently than you is pretty Judgemental and who are we to judge anyone? Last I checked we worship God through Jesus Christ and not a book. We believe and draw inspiration from the bible and we live our lives according to it but we do not worship it. I used to get worked up about the whole Genesis account of creation, really worked up until God put it on my heart to let it go. Jesus did not concern Himself with such things why should I? Brother and Sisters please let this argument go and love each other as Jesus loves us. It's a pointless argument that tears up our fellowship as Christians.
Now I say this in almost all my posts: I am a new Christian and possibly could be way off base I'm sure someone will let me know.

Evolution is wrong so is the Big Bang plus it's a theory not a fact on the Big Bang

create is to take nothing and form something out of nothing

I think there are logical/philosophical reasons to think that God cannot do the logically impossible (it avoids paradoxes like the rock too heavy to lift), and I think it's probably impossible for something to come from nothing. Most modern theologians use the definition of omnipotence "all power that is logically possible" or "that is not logically contradictory" for this reason
So that makes me suspect there's a little more to it than God created everything out of 'nothing', maybe the energy he expends on creating forms the universe for example, then it's not created from 'nothing', but from his energy (or whatever mechanism he uses). I'm just rambling about a minor point I guess
The idea that a nothingness isn't something that can exist and be changed into things in any sense

Ponder this boys and girls. Just suppose God made this very universe or cosmos as we can now it, in the same Light that He made the part of the Creation that He dwells in, to this very day! Fore God does dwell in a place where He, and it is unseen to us. We are told of a Red Dragon who is an Adversary of God. This Red Dragon who was named Satan after his fall, was created a Covenant Cherub with the creation of God he was put over as it's covering. Thus the term, ...thou art the anointed cherub that covereth...(and God as Covenant Maker)..for I have set thee so... When he fell, the creation he was over fell with him. How did it fall? Some kind of explosion or big bang; and it formed a time space matter place that we can know of. This is why God could not destroy Satan because he was a covenant creature, if God destroys him He has to destroy the whole of His creation including where He now dwells! God's part of the creation did not fall but became unclean because this covenant creature could go anywhere in it that he choose.
Now without writing a book about this or trying to explain every little thing, what scientist are saying is they through several different theories, can measure back to a certain place where the creation began and no further and there was some kind of big bang. They will never be able to measure any further because God is immeasurable. They've actually made a case for God, His Creation; for Satan and his fall and the fall of the creation. That's not bad for insisting there is no God!
Some of my point is, all of the things that we can know of as, or in creation as we see it in this fallen dark light; had it's beginning in the time before this fall. What the big bang actually is, I don't know other than what I said. But Satan and his angels were made in the same manner as God and His Holy Angels and they must have dwelt in the same kind of place where God resides to this day. Paul writes in Romans 8 that the creation fell into corruption but of no fault of it's own. Is the big bang an explosion or implosion, or a plosion that we don't understand; about God's creation and it's fall. There are some things God is going to keep to Himself and we will never know, is this one of those things?

We are not discussing the origins of GOD, that could be so mind blowing we are unable to even begin to understand it.
Thing is, as a creationist, I know how everything came into being, God did it, end of story.
Look up string theory and multiple dimensions. Christians know there are other dimensions in existance, we are just waiting for scientists to catch up, same with intelligent design and creationism.

I wish I knew how everything came into being :c, many scientists think the string theory is invalid.
We cant have science agreeing with the Bible with things like extra dimensions, ie spiritual world etc, can we? No of course not, so athiest scientists will discredit anything which remotly agrees or hints at God and intelligent design, not forgetting the existance of realms which we can not interact with or detect.

Without trying to offend anyone, you do realize that plenty of Christians also subscribe to the big bang theory and evolution. There are many scientists who theorize that there are multiple dimensions. I would love to see scientific evidence that points to a god, even Yahweh, and I'm sure thinking-scientists would love to as well.

Yes there are Christians who still hold to things like evolution, but why is that? One day they may be bold enough to make the proper leap of faith and accept the literal meaning of Geneis creation account, that man was made complete by God and has not come into existance through evolutionary process over millions of years.
Problem is athiests pick on evolution as the main battle ground for disproving God, but for some reason using this argument has not exactly done any real damage to Christianity etc, as you point out yourself in previous post, belief in God has nothing to do with how we got here as plenty of genuine Christians still hold to that belief in evolution and big bang, yet they know Jesus personally as thier saviour.

If you are going to assert that the earth is six thousand years old and that dinosaurs and humans coexisted then you seriously need to take a look at the fossil record and find a friendly anthropologist.
Also your second statement that evolution is the bulwark of atheist evidence is a very broadly encompassing statement, there were atheists before the theory of evolution itself existed, I certainly don't try and use it as a crutch in arguments.
I am a skeptic and an atheist, I mean no offense to any of you on here, and I genuinely believe most if not all of you are well intentioned, intelligent, and kind people. But when I debate religion with theists I ask them, if they were the israelites would you do what Yahweh asked of you, do you agree with Yahweh's sense of morality when he commands the israelites to slaughter the Cannanites as well as their children, or live by the levitical laws of a unmarried woman marrying her rapist.
That being said good night I hope to continue this conversation civilly, and I wish you all the best.
