Is so cheap to make yet delicious and healthy.
Makes a nice entree or dinner.

Take one onion and dice and fry in some oil with garlic.
Add 1 tbsp tomato pure (optional)
one can of tomatoes
some stock (about 2 mugs or so)
some chopped tomatoes for extra health benefits (optional)
2 teaspoons sambal oelek (chillipaste) or som drops of tabasco
pepper and salt
bit of cream (optional)
It is said that 2 drops of vinegar and a sprinkle of sugar makes the soup nicer but that is also optional.
One can also add herbs like oregano

It is very nice to serve with diced fetta cheese sprinkled on top of your bowl of soup and some parsley if wanted.

Sounds very tomato-y :) How long should one cook it and is it supposed to have chunks of tomato when cooked or be smooth?

Hi there :) ,

It does not need to cook so long.You can choose how long.
First when you have the oil and onions heating it is a hotter temperature that then is turned down to "puttra" on a lower heat.
I always have diced tomatoes in.
Have never tried it smooth but you could always try putting it in blender if that is your preference.
Its so quick to make, healthy, cheap and delicious.
