Tonight we had: homemade Sicilian meat sauce with pasta. sauce had: basil, garlic, onion, sugar, oregano, stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, pepper, fennel, ground chicken, fresh thyme leaves chopped, salt, Portobello mushroom, and a little oil. It was out of this world. I could make homemade Italian sauce with my hands tied behind my back and blindfolded; no exaggeration. lol
My sauce is never made the same twice in a row; it's always slightly different. one time I made meatballs with lots of garlic and onion cooked in and some spices and cooked them in oil, then put them in the sauce. I think I'm going to make Beef Bourgogne this week next and my grandmother's Spanish tortilla one time also. I love cooking for my family.
