Greetings from India!

It is so great to know that people all over the world are connected through Christ. The love of Christ is growing in India. There are a number of bible-believing churches that are openly proclaiming the word of God in metropolitan cities and elsewhere. However, India being a multi-religious, multi-lingual and multicultural country, life as a Christian can be quite complicated. Most people have been brought up with a polytheistic view of God. Prominent personalities are worshipped as God. Then there is Idolatry, which you encounter at every turn. Tradition and superstition have shackled people. Festivals are loud, self-focused and revelrous. Recently there has been a lot of opposition and persecution, especially in villages. The "Christian" community is predominantly Catholic. Family bonds are strong, and therefore much opposition comes from family members.
Indian Christians have strong faith, as they have endured much for their faith. Lawlessness (in secular terms) and corruption are at their heights. However, as many Westerners have noted, Indians communities are very hospitable and warm.

So praise God for his love and his mercies!

Hi onlinebuddy,

Its good to here from our brother and sister around the globe. I have read that thee is a of persecution in India, hopefully we can all spare spme extra time and pray for the situation of Christians all over. It's good to her the gospel taking root and spreading. It must be hard for Christians when they are getting most of the pressure from their famiy. I think this seems to be common outside of the west.

Anyhow thanks for taking the time to share.
