MAKING THE FATHER GLAD.
Proverb 15:20
[SUP]20[/SUP]A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
We all know the story of Job. How the lord tested Job by allowing Satan to test him. Everything he had was taken away ,his wealth, his children, & his health and to make worse the misery his wife spoke harsh words to him asking him to give up his faith in God and diel His friends who ,instead of consoling him blamed him!
Oh! what a battle Job had to fight. But later on when God had tested him, God blessed Job double for all losses. He got back his wealth, his children and his health with honour.
If we learn about God, He formed the earth, all the creatures, mankind and gave man his wife and a home (the garden of Eden) and the greatest gift of being in His wonderful presence as his family.
God made man in His likeness , His image Why?He didn’t make angels in his image but why did He make man in His image? I think God delighted to make mankind in His image for a very special purpose, to give us the privilege to be called as His Children ;a very special place for us in the Heart of God.
After the first disobedience of mankind God drove them away from the garden. The sacred relation between God and mankind broke and no man was on his own.
Then again we find God building up the relation from Seth to Noah &from Noah to Abraham &from Abraham to Lord Jesus Christ Son of God ,Son of David ,Son of Abraham.
And now we are once again His Children ,His people and His family.
Job bore the pain of losing his children,….
God bore the grief of the rebellion, and wickedness of mankind.
Genesis 6:5-6
5.And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6.And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
What I desire to convey is This:
Let us the Children of God , the people of God gladden the heart of our Heavenly Father in every way we can, for we are indeed His Family and truly He is our Father who gave us birth.
John 1:12,13.
12. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
[SUP]13.[/SUP] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
God bless you.
