Cats perfect funny lip sync..😂
It was a blessing I listened to that little voice that told me to go after her in the garage and not let her be. Had I done I'd have found her dead.
Her name was Tabbikins. ("tabby-kins") I love and miss her still.
And you always will. But one day in far future... she will be running towards you at "the rainbow bridge"... nothing is lost, Jesus is "the firstborn of every creature"

That's heartbreaking.
Husband had a cat and we got him a company this year, since his cat wasn't cuddly and I wanted a cuddly cat for myself. I asked for THE cuddliest cat in the shelter.
He is amazing :love::love: the best cat in the world... great personality, brave, friendly, super cuddly, gentle. He's purrrrfect.
I love his elder "brother" too, he isn't cuddly but I like him as he is and wouldn't want him to change. They are both unique...
I sometimes dread losing either one of them, it's going to be very difficult when the time comes... they make my life so much richer. I could be sick and it wouldn't concern me, yet a little "meeewk!" when he's throwing up after chewing on some wheatgrass, or a little sniffle from them, scares the living ghost out of me I run to check if they are okay like a helicopter... They are sooo small and fragile...
Years ago I had a cat named Princess. A trailer park manager near me asked if I wanted to adopt her because she was a stray and trying to gain sympathy from his tenants in a no pets zone.
Sure!
She had the greenest eyes I've ever seen and to this day never have I seen eyes like that.
Well, stray cats will always find their way to a cat owners door. I think they have a meow-code (think Morse code) wherein those who have a home send a message to those in the area who don't.
Anyway, just after I adopted Princess strays from the neighborhood next door would come over for cat snacks.
When they'd get into little kitty scuffles and if it was a male and female, Princess would step in front of the smaller female and protect her from the male.
It was so cute. Like, back off buddy take on someone our own size, pffft, pfft!
Cat culture is a hoot to watch.

I know. When I'm there weeping like a baby cuddling the ones I had to put to sleep due to cancers, etc... I'd tell them that. I'll see you in Heaven my precious.
SoggyKitten, the official cat lady of Heaven.
Last Christmas a friend gifted me a magnetic bumper sticker. "IF ANIMALS AREN'T IN HEAVEN I AIN'T GOIN!" There's a picture of the ark with all these animals on the deck and peeking out the windows.
I love it. :giggle:

Animals are a lot more than we think...
If it was up to me, I'd have 3-5 cats, but we couldn't afford it.
However, we agreed to always keep two, so no cat would feel lonely. They will always have company of their kind.

Cats are amazing. Just the way they sort issues out.
I learn a lot from them. Emotional intelligence, cats have a lot to teach in that area...

When our older cat doesn't want to cuddle, he doesn't want to cuddle. And, he's not a bad guy for it! He's half bobcat and probably instinct makes him feel "trapped" when held, so he smoothly slips away (with a tiny hiss, if he's extra grumpy). Watching him, I was realizing more and more that you are not a bad guy if you're being true to your real voice. What is the use of hiding your true feelings and saying yes, if you still say no on the inside? That's actually unfair to others, in spite of doing what they want. They deserve the truth. That was a big impact for me.

When cats rest, they truly rest. When they relax, they relax deeply. When they play, they play vigorously. They really know how to live in the moment. It helps me take on life, one moment at a time. I am so much calmer with them in the house. They create a wonderful stress free atmosphere solely with their presence.

Yeah, they try to adopt you, you don't choose a cat, you become the "chosen" one...
She must have been beautiful... (even though, I've never seen a cat that isn't they are all amazing to me)

There was this orange little kitty that kept staring me through the window one day a few months ago, and we were thinking, look at that baby, maybe we should get a third cat after all... since we've always said, we planned two cats, but if a third cat comes up, and wants to be with us, we will pronounce it God's will and have that one too. So we tried looking for him outside that day, with treats, we tried to catch him and bring him to the house several times, but he was afraid and ran away. The kittens around here are all wild and you can't catch them easily...

The next morning husband ran him over because he climbed somewhere high underneath husband's truck so he didn't see him... Since there are a lot of strays in the neighborhood, he always checks the wheels in the morning before starting the truck, but he didn't see him in spite of his vivid orange color because the kitty got somewhere deep and far inside, where you couldn't spot him. We were grieving for weeks, especially since we wanted to have him, and for husband to run over him himself, on the very next day? (and we were determined to look again if we see him, too) To say he was upset or sad is an understatement... it was the worst day ever... We buried him in the yard.
