Smoke haze

Friends have been asking about the fires. Here's a photo taken from our front verandah yesterday morning. The smoke is from fires about 300km (186 miles) from here. There is a gorge just beyond the trees in the distance in the picture, a short walk (no more than five minutes) from us. We don't want a fire there.
Wow! How are things there now?
I'm sorry, Natasha, this slipped through without my noticing it! The last of the fires was contained on 27 February. But then, to keep life interesting, Covid, which had arrived here on 25 January, had by that time proceeded to snowball.
