Your definition is very much accurate: retail encompasses shops, selling of goods and such. I and the rest of the class (ALL WOMEN, no offense -_-) will basically be learning how to work in the shop environment. Today's lesson went quite well, and as you suggested I did bring it to life! I got so dangerously comfortable with my surroundings that I started to joke a lot; I got heaps of laughs out of everyone although I think the trainer, Mike, wasn't 100% impressed... and he was from UK as well! I got talking with him about how I like such English phrases as well (for emphasis), crisps and sweets (in that order), and mentioned you.
