Can anyone truly say that before Almighty God? I didn't sin today ...think about it. Be honest ...not that I haven't tried. :)
If I`d say that I would be the biggest liar on earth.

When one is focused on whether they will sin or not, brings forth sin
when one is focused on thanksgiving and praise for what god has done, tere is no room for sin to creep in so:
Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

so practice daily being dead to flesh through the death of Christ and be alive in the Spirit of God daily
Philippians 3:10 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Philippians 3:11 if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

All things are possible with God, but with man it is impossible and trying to be blocks God's amazing way to do in you what you can't do in self

Trying in the sense that I'm letting the Holy Spirit work through me not doing it on my own I really want to please God
You are seeing the picket line of the flesh that does not want anyone to cross over with the renewed mind seeing all things from God the Father's point of view in appreciation so deep that all one can do is thank and praise God for his fabulous finished work through Son

The reason I started this thread was because I struggled with this for years I kept wondering if I'm the only Christian who still sins on a daily basis. As I read about Paul Peter and John and their way of life I thought to myself I'm so far off from them but in my heart I desired to follow God and to be honest I even question my salvation ,but I believe that Satan wants us to believe this and tries to keep us alone in these thoughts
Excuse my grammar
Amazingly Morty, nowhere in Scripture after the death of Christ is there anywhere said to ask for more forgiveness from Father, after one receives what Christ the Son has done.
Find it please, not anywhere after the death are any of us asked to ask for anymore forgiveness if we sin or not.
Not even in 1John does it say to ask over and over again, it says to ask and receive once. it goes on into chapter 2 to say we are forgiven.
Anyway a worth while to look for. It is not there after the death at all. Before all over the place
So there is a before and after the cross. one side I need forgiveness, the other side I am forgiven so:
1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.

When one is so basked in this love and occupied in this praises and thanksgiving, there is no time for sin to enter. Kind of like a doubled edged sword

Thanks Tripsin about 2 weeks ago my wife lost her sister to cancer we looked after her and her alzheimers husband
for almost a year. She was a godly woman loved the Lord and inspired me in many ways.At the time of her death
it was sad to see her stuggling with cancer and she was so afraid of dying and it made me question as I did today about my own walk sometimes.I guess that's why I brought up the subject.

And God has a purpose in all that happens so we can learn truth over error and be free.
Have you welcomed her to her new location yet? Flesh plain and simply does not want to die. And I thank God to be Faithful and has got her with him, freed from this worlds sores

Thanks Trispin. That was the first thought that came to my mind. I wish I could live a sinless life like Jesus did but, we are imperfect. I am trying to do my best and follow the Word. I want to please God more than anything
The sooner this happens at least as I see know, is the sooner I get out of the way, then God does through me what I never could do through self
God is the light, a man does not put his light under the lampstand for no one to see, rather on the lampstand for all to see and praise Father through Son
So live the exchanged life, your life for his life?

It doesn't matter how many sins you do or don't do. What matters is your attitude towards sin and repentance.
Maybe more like who is doing the living through you? Self a good will worship or God in the resurrected Spirit of Christ?

As a man thinks (sows) so is he. whatever one is focused on is what will do, whether they want to or not, too simple
time maybe to be transferred from death flesh to life Spirit of God by the resurrected Christ in the Spirit where today only God the Father can be served john 4:23-24
