A Helping Hand
When Joshua and men of Israel went out to fight with Amalek and his men, Moses stood on a hill overlooking the battle. When Moses held up the rod of the Lord, Israel began to win but when he lowered the rod, then Amalek began to win. Moses was tired and had trouble holding the rod up so he was assisted by 2 others who were with him. With one on each side of him they held up his hands and the rod until Joshua won the battle. There is a lesson for us in this event. When we tire in the battle of life it is better to let a brother or a sister help us rather than to try to stand alone and allow the enemy to prevail against us.
