Abortion: again

We have different insights in life and i respect everyone's opinions. Yes,being raped can be a traumatic event and it's hard to raise a kid of a rapist. I think i'ts really selfish to think that you would opt to abortion just because it would ruin your career,raped,etc. But if it has something to do with medical illness where in pregnancy is not possible then it's acceptable. God gave you a chance to live so why can't you give the innocent baby to live? How would you feel being aborted by your own mother? Or what if someone told you that your mom had attempted to kill you when she was conceiving you but she failed because you've already reached the viable age. Of course you would terribly feel bad and hurt. If the mother can't afford to raise her own baby she can always opt to have her baby adopted or by all means find a job. Remember, GOD is author of life so He is the only one who has the prerogative to end life.

I love what you wrote. The world is really in bondage and freedom can never be obtained through Legalization of issues or Legislation. To be free, we should put the word of GOD in practice and in action in our lives.

who is pro life and pro abortion?

If you are referring to some of us talking about an ectopic pregnancy and it being terminated then you need to look up what it is. It is when the fetus grows outside the womb(in the fallopian tubes). I did research and found I was wrong to say that a baby CAN survive that pregnancy. They cannpt. If fallopian tubes ruptures the mother is likely to die.. and the baby will die. There is no way to carry a baby full term in fallopian tubes. This is NOT at all an easy issue for anyone who has suffered from this type of pregnancy, and it may be best that you educate yourself on certain medical procedures before you start condemning.

I am very much against abortion, but in a case like this I would NEVER condemn a woman for abortion in a case such as this. Like I said. It isnt an easy situation.

And in fact, most of the time the body "self aborts" as it were. The woman's body is an amazing thing. More often than not, if something like this happens (an ectopic, or some other issue where the embryo is just not viable), the system flushes itself and tries again. Those of us who believe in God know it's God's way of saying "This is not the one for you ... just wait." Others might say it has to do with natural selection or something.

But before modern medicine was able to detect it, if the woman's body was unable to flush it, yes, this always resulted in the woman's death, around 4-6 weeks after conception, and of course no embryo can survive that, so it dies anyway.

Today, with the wonders of modern medicine, sometimes the doctor is able to remove the implanted, fertilized egg without damaging the tube, which means the woman still has two working tubes. This is not guaranteed, however, and even today (as was the case with me), the tube may be destroyed in the process, which means there's only one ovary whose egg will ever get to where it needs to go: so you have 1/2 the chance of having a "proper" implant next time.

Thank God (and I mean that literally) that one tube was all I needed.

Well it isn't so much as a solution to abortion, but rather an opinion on how abortion rates could be cut back. I like to think of it as a solution because it would help the problem.

Anyways, one of the reasons some women opt to have an abortion is cause they feel they won't be able to provide/properly care for a child or that they aren't ready. A solution to this would be to let the child be adopted by another family. One of the big arguments against that is that there are so many children already in the adoption system/foster care that most don't ever get adopted.

I think it is absolutely awful when we have people in this country making millions of dollars and yet they have no kids or if they do chances are they adopted the child from another country. I have no problem with them adopting a child from another country, but I feel they should adopt from there own country and make sure there own people are took care of before trying to help others.

I also have a problem with them flaunting their money the way they do. I mean honestly does one person need a mansion with 18 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and tons of other rooms? I have been told before that I do not do enough to help the needy. If it hadn't been on the Internet I would have blown up on that person lol I am like at the very bottom of the middle class maybe top of the lower class and my parents try to donate and help when they can. I do too, but most of the time I don't have money cause I don't have a job. Anyways, my point is I said well what about all the millionaires and billionaires in the US that could give more than they probably do. Granite I know some probably donate a fair share, but I feel we should be compelled to give more than our fair share no matter what standards we live by.

Sorry got off topic, but none of that would never happen cause all people ever think about are themselves. And see it is mostly my opinion, but I kind of see it as a solution if those people would ever open their eyes.

I'm curious though, what makes you think children who are born to women who can't take care of them aren't currently allowed to be adopted by another family? That is something that happens quite a lot, in fact. It is common, in fact, for a woman to be matched up with a couple before the child is born, and the couple support the woman throughout the pregnancy, paying for the pre-natal care, helping her with bills and such, so that she is able to carry the baby to full term.

I know they can be adopted by another family. I meant to say a current solution. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Actually this just made me think about a couple years ago when I was in tenth grade my school had added on an extra 35 minutes to our day to get money from the state. They called this 35 minutes R+R and I can assure you it was no Rest and Relaxation. Anyways, we had different things from EMS to Movie Reviews and I got placed in a debate one. One of the topics we debated about was abortion and a girl in there said she had been moved from home to home cause her mother had decided not to keep her. The girl said that she had wished that her mother had just had an abortion so she would not have had to go through that. I wasn't sure how to react to that and I actually didn't react to anything said cause I was the only sophomore in a room with juniors and seniors that I did not know.

Just curious what everyone's opinions are on what that girl said cause I still to this day do not know what to even think about that. Oh yeah she was obviously on the pro-Choice side.

That's not the first time I've heard that opinion expressed. I had a brother who was adopted. He had some real tough times. (He passed away about 5 years ago.) He expressed a similar sentiment at times in his life.

I'm not sure that's a reason to be pro-choice, but it's certainly a reason to recognize that things in this country are screwed up, if a person can wish they would have rather have been aborted than live. With that, all we can do is pray.

i too was adopted at age 4,i am very greatful of course.i did not remember my birth parents they got a divorce and neither one wanted me.i have forgiven them of course i have even prayed too see them in heaven some day.
