Hand wringing and invoking international law has done nothing. Sanctions did not work in 2014 and Russia is getting around them now. Ukraine is not asking for the armed forces of other nations to step in. All they ask is for the tools to do the job. This much different from Iraq x 2, Afghanistan, Libya, Korea and Vietnam. Putin should have been stopped in 2014, but the spineless West refused to help. Give Ukraine the weapons it needs and untie its hands as to how to use them. Either Putin is stopped now or the war will spread to the rest of Europe. America will be dragged into the shooting bit if Putin is not stopped now.

War crimes are terrible as thousands die but war also could mean millions die. To bluff nuclear threats is a big gamble that could mean billions die. Are you saying this to prevent a Europe invasion? We are not yet at the reality of that happening. Are you worried about if we don't go to war, then Tiawan may be next? Who knows, but is it worth the death toll of WW3?

I'm not against war or against justice. But I also weigh other variables like thousands of deaths is bad but millions is worse.

We should do all we can to try and protect innocent life and sometimes that is a hard decision because entering a war means you are now putting innocent life into harms way.

It never should be something to rush into in less you have no other choices.

Rush in? Modern war is not like the older days. If the first fire ant nest had been destroyed, they would not be the terrible problem they are now. If Russia had been driven out of Ukraine, the current war would not have happened. If Israel had destroyed Hamas the first time they were attacked, they would not be fighting now. China continually pushes the boundaries without doing any shooting. If war starts, China will in a much better place to achieve her aims. It will be much harder to defeat China.

Ukraine is suffering because of the West's inaction. The Russian people are suffering also. Putin treats people in the typical Russian manner, like cannon fodder to throw at Ukraine to wear Ukraine's army down. Putin relies on the West giving up on Ukraine. Israel suffers because they bowed down to international stupidity and allowed Hamas to turn Gaza into an armed camp.

Modern war is like cancer. Get it early and a cure is more likely. Meanwhile Turkey and Azerbaijan are attacking Armenia and hardly anyone notices.
