Ecclesiastes 7:9 "Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools."

Psalm 103:8 "The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy."

Joel 2:13 "And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil."

Nahum 1:3 "The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet."

Proverbs 29:22 "An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression."

James 3:16 "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work."

Proverbs 22:24 "Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:"

Titus 1:7 "For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;"

Don't be quick to anger. Anger tempts you, it's not a good thing to keep it. It binds you. That's why forgiveness is so amazing. It breaks our chains. Forgiveness sets a prisoner free and that prisoner is you. Vengeance is the Lord's. If you think that someone did something so bad to you that you just can't forgive them, don't feel sorry for yourself. Remember God, he's higher than you are. Go to God, if he can take away your sin, which he can, he can take away your anger and make you feel happy again. God Bless You All. Praise Jesus Name for he is the name above all names.

I don't know where I heard this saying but I think of it when I see anger or hatred. I don't know who said it

"Anger/hatred is like drinking poison and hoping the other person dies..."

Wow. Very interesting.

May Jesus bless you. Sounds like bitterness too.
