*takes the rule and runs off with it*
Muhahahhahahaha!

ok, on a more serious note, of course you can make a "rule", problem is it won't really be a rule but a request, and people who like to argue wont heed it

I would like to suggest another point. We actually need more discussion not less.
Walking in the light is about overcoming problems and not submitting to them.

A lot of christians will use the idea that their view of theology is right and another is of the devil, a heresy.
It is painful to be called a heretic, or preaching a false gospel, but in truth, we do need to know what we stand for.

OSAS, predestination, the rapture, original sin, salvation, walking with the Lord, love, holiness, heaven, prophecy, prophets, the authority of scripture are all important subjects, but there are no definitive answers, there are just shades of opinion and good reasons why they may help, and others why it fails.

If I am planted in love, with a humble spirit, it is learning the subjects, how people deal with things, there experiences that give colour to the spiritual life.

One thing you will learn we all have lots to share and encourage one another, some are just insane, some have hobby horses, some are people who are beautiful, some need serious help. So I encourage you to share, to be open, to be who the Lord called you to be, and fight the good fight. Jesus did , so should we.

To put this into perspective, our history is full of blood shed, where those who held different opinions were killed. This is an sin against the love Jesus shared, so maybe we could learn to let each have their position, and not expect them to be evil, or have horns, but actually just humans in a limited state.

By the way I am perfect, I am perfectly me. What makes this joke even funnier most of us critise others for exactly the failures we ourselves possess, which is why self discovery is as important as discovering others.

People like breaking the individual thread rules.
Gives us/them a false sense of control and power.
Goes back to our childhood, and when our parents told us what we can, and can not do.

Rebels l tell ya. Each and every one of us are the James Dean of CC thread shreddin'.
Good luck.

When we make a new thread, are we allowed to make simple rules as to what we want and don't want to see in the thread? Like for example to say no arguing.
You can request no arguing....but there will always be a fool to foul your thread up...well its not going to be me anymore I tell you. Lol...The devil tries to get to us all...we cant let him control our tongues...Im done letting the devil bring out sarcasm in me...I am sweeter than that
