Nope. Though, because of our lifestyle we'd last for a while because we're semi self-sufficient. We do it because it is healthier, not because we are prepping for anything.

As far as stockpiling years of food, ammo, generators, and such, I don't have the space to hoard things or frankly, the interest. I've gone through several hurricanes, so I have the basics just in case (re: water, water purification tablets, radio, flashlight), or if I'm hiking or traveling in an area with sketchy water.

Nah. Like, my life isn't any kind of bed of roses, anyway.

Live by faith, maybe. Get struck by lightning or a bullet, maybe. Or a nuke goes off - "FINALL-" *BOOM!*

All good. Been meaning to get around seeing Dad sooner or later anyway. I have questions about aliens and dragons.
*** I'm sure He will give you the answers...

Nope. I have useful currency though. If SHTF, what good will a gold coin really do? If SHTF, what good will a box of 100 rounds of 22lr do? I'm thinking that should barter become the norm, then it'll be more beneficial to trade things that can actually be used.

I've got enough food and water and things put up in case of a blizzard or flood, but if you're talking end of time stuff then no I'm not a prepper. I figure the quicker I die then the better off I'll be, in the end time.

How are you going to be able to walk away carrying all of that stuff?

I've prepared myself for the future by learning how to live off the land so I can just run off to the mountains when everything goes worse.

It seems that a lot of people are shooting themselves in the foot I mean sure you can lock yourself away for a extended period but what happens when your supplies run out and you are trapped?some are talking about trade and currency, when things go worse the last thing that I would want is to STILL be dependent on society which is exactly what you are when you barter for necessities, you'll just be in different circumstances but having to deal with the same corrupt people that you are trying to get away from.

I won't speak for anyone else, but if SHTF, I certainly won't be locking myself away from society. I'll be leaving society to the safety of my hideaway. No address, no identifying features, not visible from Google Earth.

I don't anticipate surviving very long, and long-term survival of a SHTF scenario was never my goal. I just make preparations sufficient enough so I can die on MY terms, not someone else's. I came into this world covered in someone else's blood and screaming my head off, and I intend to leave this world the same way.

Bartering would certainly become the norm I'd say but things that people would find useful like food, water, weaponary?, energy and Precious metals to name a few. Society would eventually pick itself back up and that's where the precious metals would make most benefit.

I wouldn't barter I would take advantage of the opportunity and leave the world behind ,I mean look how far we came from rubbing sticks together I don't think that most of this stuff is necessary.

I like technology and all gadgets also but they aren't necessary for me to live.
