"Partial score"

Reminds me of George Carlin's FM & AM album cut "11 O'Clock New ... " Catch it three minutes in with "Biff Barf with sports"

I have a very good insurance plan, though my deductible is quite high. They're ahead of the Cubs, 2-0.
While that might have bee true last week. The Cubbies are now in first place. :)
(Although for HOW LONG is another question altogether. I have faith that my team will most likely crash once again)
:p

Through Monday -- yesterday being an off-day for most -- the Royals and Rangers lead the major leagues in hit batters. Tuesday, after being hit on the hand late in a nine-run blowout of the Twins, Alex Rios went on the 15-day disabled list and will miss 2-6 weeks with a broken left pinkie finger. "Speed 1" Jarrod Dyson and the new "Speed 2" -- Paulo Orlando -- will platoon in right field while Rios is out.

Is that going to be the response to this year's rediscovered power in the majors? Hit the guy before he can hit one out? Or hit the guy batting behind him after he does hit one out? I predict a brawl, probably before the end of this week, somewhere in MLB, and given the Royals' attitude over suddenly being targets, it wouldn't surprise me if its them who gets into it.

Almost got a tatoo saying a variation of that -- I'm sure most know the original thought -- in Saigon. Fortunately, I had to wait so long, I sobered up ...

And we're 7-1. Knew it couldn't last. Sure was fun, though, and now we can start another streak.

Ouch! 7-2. OK, bring on them A's! Y'all remember what happened to them last year, right?

Strange how baseball works.

The Twins played terrible against the Tigers(0-3) and White Sox(1-2) and then come home and play the Royals and win 2 of 3.

They have not played well at home in recent years.

No talk of my Red Sox? Hey, they are off to a great start -- 6-3. Got some great new players -- Mookie Betts (who names their kid "Mookie?????"), and a couple of pitchers up from Triple-A. I'm not overly optimistic, but it could be an interesting year. It sure has been a roller coaster: 2012 -- last place in the AL East, 2013 -- Win the World Series, 2014 -- last place in the AL East. Does that mean there's another WS in the works????? We'll see!

Oh, and just a quick commentary regarding the pathetic Cubs (having grown up in Chicagoland...): A few years ago, WGN (Chicago's Channel 9) produced a documentary: "The Chicago Cubs: A Century of Disappointment." The "disappointment" continues to this day!

Not ignoring you, bro. Just awaiting our revenge Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Too bad the Twins aren't at the K tonight when they hand out AL Championship trophy replicas to the fans. I'm sure they've wondered what the new ones look like -- you know, the "new design" from 1995.
